I never commented on this as others have already posted similar stories in this forum but seeing it has not been fixed to this day I'll give it a try as well. For most of the older sets cards in the packs are not duplicate protected. Certain sets just always give me gems even though I have not collected close to the entire set yet. For example I have Throne of Eldraine 91% complete with a bunch of cards (even commons and uncommons!) still missing, but anytime I open a pack I get either gems or a wildcard (very very very rarely an actual rare/mythic. Maybe every 10 packs). This is the same for dominaria, ixalan and m20 from the ones I'm currently aware of. I've had this problem for like the past 3 years and given I've got plenty of wildcards I don't mind much, but if I ever want to complete my collection it would be nice if this could get fixed. I've opened hundreds (if not thousands) of packs from Dominaria to Ikoria over the past years, yet I'm still missing 6 and a half pages of cards from those sets due to the packs not following the duplicate protection protocol.
