imp mischief
Imp's Mischief made me pay the life to cast the spell but wouldn't let me change the spell to one of my creatures even though they played Storm the Seedcore and chose a single target. So I lost life and had to just choose another one of their creatures to get all 4 counters which caused me to lose the game even though I was up by 20 life!

Storm the Seedcore can only target its controller's creatures, not an opponent's. So the best Imp's Mischief can achieve here is change which of your opponent's creatures will get the counters. If they only have the one creature, the target cannot be changed.
