Chthonian Nightmare - Karn the Great Creator incorrectly stopping activation
It appears that Karn is somehow bugged with Chtonian Nightmare. My opponent's board state was tapped out, with Karn and Blood Moon on the field. He had -2 for Stone Brain, and passed turn.
I had a couple creatures and a Jet Medallion out. I play Cthonian Nightmare, get the energy from the etb, and here things go south. No matter what I tried, over multiple turns, I could not activate its ability. As it is an enchantment, Karn should not be turning it off.

Did you have a legal target in the graveyard? Without that, you can't activate the ability. And no, you cannot target the creature you want to sacrifice for the ability, because targets ae chosen way before costs are paid.
