My deadly cover-up was being cast and I didn't have the alternate cost option of collecting evidence. I had a memory deluge 4 and a negate 2 in the graveyard adding up to 6. There might have been an issue because I also had a dig through time in my hand and 5 cards in total in my graveyard maybe leading to the game thinking I had 5 instead of 6 evidence.
