My Carrion Locust was destroyed while I disconnected due to latency, and when I returned there was a copy of the bug (pun intended) on my board, but he was unusable because he was actually dead and had appeared also in my graveyard.

The workaround was to try and remember that I was actually unable to block a flying creature with my non-existent creature, and to play accordingly.
