I casted come back wrong on enemy commander( if relevant the creature was Elude, Shoreless Sea.) it killed he got the option to put it back into his commander zone. However I still got the ETB trigger like it still hit my field. From how I understand how the card Is designed, he should miss the timing to return it to the command zone. There a card that came out in the 40k set that does something similar and it was ruled to work that way. Where the opponent misses his time to take back his creature. Because the creature changing zone is part of the resolution of the card and can’t be interacted with.
