Torch the tower failed to exile enduring vitality
My opponent played torch the tower targeting his own enduring vitality to save it from my leyline binding etb trigger and instead of torch the tower exiting his enduring vitality it sent it to the graveyard and it came back as an enchantment.
Torch the tower should exile enduring vitality as it goes to exile instead of the graveyard.

Your opponent didn't damage the Vitality with the Torch. He instead sacrificed it to bargain the spell. Targets are chosen before costs are paid, so he can target the Vitality before sacrifcing it, if no other legal target is on the battlefield or if he doesn't want to damage anything else.
