I had this issue targeting Pride of the Road with Cursecloth Wrappings on the turns after targeting it but not playing it. Kind of bitter to lose games in a $10 event due to a bug.

This happened to me as well, as Owl#84288 noted it happened when I forgot to embalm the thing I targeted one turn and then tried to embalm the next.

This happened to me too, and cost me the game. Could not cast the Engine Rat I had targeted with Cursecloth even though I had available black mana up. Refund please this is serious business.

This happened to me if I targeted the card in an earlier turn, but then did not play it. Then it is no longer possible to play it on another turn. Possibly the card must then be played on the turn, which already passed, so it is not possible any more.
