bug dream trawler
I just played a game where Dream Trawler was on the field. One of Dream Trawler's abilities is that if you discard a card, it gains hexproof and it gets tapped. I waited til the attack phase, and the Dream trawler was attacking me. I then played Reflection Net, which has Flash. I was expecting to remove it from the field, but the other player was allowed to discard a card, and Dream Trawler gained hexproof. Then he was allowed to attack me with his hexproof Dream trawler.
This should not have been allowed to attack. The creature's ability states that it gets tapped when you use the ability. which would remove it from combat. This all happened during the "declare Attacker" Phase. That act of tapping it during combat removes it from combat

Tapping or untapping an attacking or blocking creature does NOT reomve it from combat. It just gets tapped or untapped respectively, if it doesn't have that status. You allowed your opponent to declare the Dream Trrawler as attacker, therefore it was attacking. Activating its ability didn't change that. Declaring attackers is the FIRST thing that happens during the declatre atackers step, so by the time any player can cast or activate anything during that step, all attackers have already been declared. A tapped creature cannot be declared as attacker, but the game was already past attacker declaration.
506.4b Tapping or untapping a creature that’s already been declared as an attacker or blocker
doesn’t remove it from combat and doesn’t prevent its combat damage.
