Alchemy
Sick of losing in games to stupid unbalanced alchemy cards.....keep alchemy to alchemy games. I don't like it and it ruins all the other game modes. You should be able, at least, to toggle alchemy off so you are not matched against any decks with alchemy cards. It's a rubbish format that has to default to it when choosing a game to falsy show it's been played when most ppl play by accident.

whoever came up with "hearthstone at home" aka alchemy should maybe understand that those cards are broken, lame, and should be in their own format. Also "rebalancing" cards for arena is also a weird thing to do and a disconnect from physical cards. Theres MTGO but that UI is god awful and which is why arena was made no?

Emporium thopterist is another cancer card. Maybe ******* of the coast should try to copy hearthstone which at least does digital only cards, but way better.

I play mtga since the start, I have spent a lot (time and €€). Since alchemy introduction I ve just slow down because of the same reasons. I feel totaly disarmed against the alchemy capacity: seek, conjure etc. I like to play brawl like commander in paper, but it is not possible. I keep select only non modified card and just instant conceed when I see alchemy commander. Also the fact that planeswalker are also allowed is nuts...

Oracle of the Alpha currently has three available styles. The normal and parallax versions currently work as expected, but the retro frame version only conjures the normal printing of the power 9. In previous versions of the client, these were also retro frame. This may be related to the recent issue with the "playing with power" achievement, but that is just conjecture on my part.

please please please create a traditional brawl format, I cannot stand the alchemy cards, a large number of them feel very broken and many others are ridiculous in the amount of information you would have to have to predict what they do. I don't want them banned in Brawl, id just like a format where I didn't have to deal with them, and I'm sure there are others who would like it as well

Never will get rid of it because of fat neckbeards buying them up and throwing them into a format that is not even competitive. They ruined this mode but the corporate overlords from Hasbro won't care because they'll keep sucking your wallets dry as long as you support this ****** game.

Yeah, It's insane. I'm convinced all the good card designers have died or retired. We are left with dudes who just don't get it. You should see how ****** Chitinous Crawler is in Alchemy format, even graveyard exile it's direct counter does little to nothing

Brawl, or historic brawl, has become a completely broken format, unbalanced, unfair and straight out unplayable. Let me elaborate. Brawl has seen in recent years the inclusion of many cards to the format. Some very positive additions include fetch lands and the MH2 elementals just to name a few. I personally was really happy to see these cards added to Arena. On the other hand, there have been some very questionable additions like Chrome Mox and the pool of alchemy cards. At the same time, for completely unintelligible reasons, Wizards decided to extend the nerfs from Historic to Brawl. So cards like Guide of Souls, Ocelot Pride, DRC, Unholy heat, Teferi time raveler, etc. are nerfed in the format. The end result is a format where your opponent can have a turn 1 Chrome Mox, into dark ritual into Rusko Clockmaker, but you have to play with a nerfed guide of souls and cannot cast on turn 1 ocelot pride. To me, after many years of playing Brawl on Arena, this situation has made the format straight unplayable. Especially considering that most of the free counter spells are not yet added (or will they ever be?) to the format, i.e. FoN, FoW, Daze, and even force spike! (Which for also completely unintelligible reasons it is added as a draftable spell from a spell book but not as a standalone card).
I understand that Brawl is the format where players want to test 4-player commander cards, but in actuality, the format is most similar to duel commander, also called French Commander, or 1v1 commander. For obvious reasons, in duel commander, most of the cards that cause trouble in Brawl are banned, i.e. Chrome Mox, Ajani (as a commander), Ragavan, Mana Drain, Temporal Trespass, Treasure Cruise, Dig through time, just to name a few. You can find the complete ban list in here:
https://www.mtgdc.info/banned-restricted
I play competitive duel commander, and I find this ban list equilibrates the format extremely well. Alchemy cards also contribute greatly to break the format. The now infamous Mythweaver Poq, Rusko, Oracle of the Alpha and their absurd alchemy-specific mechanics like seek, conjure and "perpetual", stablish a clear breach of power level for those of us who prefer not to play with Alchemy cards. I have already explained the Alchemy problem in Brawl in another feedback entry, you may find it here:
I feel many players share my opinion. I have a few suggestions for improving the format, that I hope could be implemented for a better play experience:
1 - Ideally, segregate Alchemy from Brawl. You can still have an Alchemy Brawl format for those who wish to play with this card pool.
2 - Remove historic nerfs in Brawl. If cards like Teferi, time Raveler are a problem in the command zone, just ban it as a commander only (or even better, do not allow planeswalkers in the command zone, which is the root cause of the problem, and a terrible idea overall).
3 - Get more in line with the Duel Commander ban list. There is also no reason to ban cards such as Drannith Magistrate or Medling Mage. I get it, people want to cast their commanders, but these are cards that are part of a game of Commander, and you do not need to infantilize your Arena players.
4 - We are still missing an incredibly large card pool in Brawl, even from very recent sets. Some examples include Pyrogoyf, Broadside Bombardiers, etc, etc. While I understand that including all new cards is a big effort, you are at the same time producing new Alchemy cards 95% of your community hates. Why not devoting that effort to actually include cards you release in paper sets?Somehow, I doubt Wizards will listen. But if you made it up to here, thank you for reading :) and I hope you give a thumbs up to this post! Cheers!

I'd like to suggest that for those of us who do not want to play Brawl with Alchemy cards that you provide additional match making where the system attempts to match players not just on deck strength but also on number of Alchemy cards in deck. I would prefer an entirely Alchemy free Brawl experience due to how miserable the play patterns on cards like Mythweaver Poq, Chorus/Intensity, Oracle of the Alpha, Grenzo, Lootmonger and more are. But hidden matchmaking that lets me queue a deck with 0 alchemy cards and get matched against similar low alchemy card decks would be fantastic.
I want to see Brawl move towards Duel Commander and unify with that format rather than be its own 'digital only' thing.

Seriously, Alchemy has ruined Historic Brawl. There should be its own Alchemy format for brawl. It ruins the game with things like conjure out of commander color, drafting from spellbooks, seeking, and so much other non-magic mechanics that should be left to its own terrible format. Please listen to the players on this one. WE USE BRAWL to test cards for commander, and alchemy makes that ridiculous. This is what should happen IMHO:
1. Alchemy Brawl (so no key to the archive, no mythweaver poq and other ridiculously overpowered cards in regular brawl
2. Historic Brawl - ban all the worst contenders in each color, ragavan, mana drain, dark ritual, the one ring, teferis protection, primeval titan, paradox engine, wash away, sundering titan, griselbrand, maybe even a couple others (basically things that are banned in commander shouldnt be allowed in brawl, because its tougher against just one person.
3. Have a Hardcore Timeless Brawl format where literally ever card is allowed, alchemy, everything, Oko, etc. And then don't allow concedes either.Having Historic Brawl separated into three formats would make a lot of players happy. You can play the lighter janky normal format if you're looking for some casual fun, if you like alchemy you can play that or the hardcore version going into it knowing you can't concede and anything goes.
I feel like this one change to brawl would make the most impact on the player base's happiness.

When I play Brawl I sometimes play against decks that use Alchemy cards. These cards ruin the entire format. I'm talking about cards like Oracle of the Alpha and Goblin Influx Array. These cards give an unfair advantage. It's for a reason that the power nine are not legal in every format. Because when you play the power nine you have an unfair advantage. With Goblin Influx Array you can conjure a Goblin card in your hand each turn. The goblins are also cheaper so it's not difficult to play out these Goblins. These are just two examples of Alchemy cards that ruin the game.
The Alchemy cards should be banned in Brawl format. In this way it's not fun to play Brawl.
On posting this topic I saw more than 10 topics of people that feel the same way about Alchemy cards in Brawl and also Historic. Now is the time to ban the Alchemy cards from these formats. Otherwise the entire game is ruined !!
