I love the game but really wish there was an option to chat with other players while in game. There is only the option to use one word at a time to talk to players. Wouldn't it be great if players had the option to chat with their opponents and not just their friends?

I'm sure that there may have been a reason that this hasn't already been implemented. That said, I think a chat system would be a great addition that many people would enjoy. Additionally, there could be safeguards in place to protect users' information, prevent chatting while offline/not in a match (unless friends) and other potential issues.

Players could have the option to toggle the chat on or off. If off, this could mean that the opponent would not have the ability to chat with the player. This would ensure that any players choosing not to participate in the chat function have no recourse for any potential legal pursuit.

You could possibly create a poll within Arena, sent out by email, etc., asking players if they would like such a chat system implemented within Arena. This way, your player base could give feedback on what they want regarding the option to chat with other players while in a match.

I'm sure you could even include the option to earn/buy emojis or backgrounds for the chat box, etc. There are so many possibilities!
