ok. So I just opened the Arena app on my iPhone and purchased gems there. it worked. then went back to desktop to use them.

so, from what im gathering. this is not a priority issue and will not be fixed? surprising...considering that we are just asking to hand them money.

A workaround is to use the Steam client version of MTGA rather than the Epic Game Store client.
This should now allow you to throw your cash at WOTC.

Also, the Rosetta solution mentioned below doesn't work for those with Intel Macs (no Rosetta option for Intel).

I am on a Mac using the Epic Game Store client. I am having the same problem where I cannot buy anything in the store. I get a "Waiting for Server" message.

Ok worked it out, install MTGA on your desktop, right click on it and open get Info then select open with rosetta. Can make purchases again!

Reported this to support, advised they cannot assist. Disappointing, have spent thousands of dollars on this game over five years never had an issue until this.

I'm also having this problem. MacOS Sequoia 15.6.1.

Things I've tried to solve this problem which have not fixed it:

Restarting Arena

Restarting my computer

Logging out of Arena and logging back in

Uninstalling and reinstalling Arena

Deleting local log files from Arena (~/Library/Application Support/com.wizards.mtga + ~/Library/Logs/Wizards Of The Coast + ~/Library/Caches/com.wizards.mtga + ~/Library/Application Support/com.wizards.mtga + ~/Library/Application Support/Wizards Of The Coast + ~/Library/Caches/com.wizards.mtga + ~/Library/Logs/Wizards Of The Coast + ~/Library/Preferences/com.wizards.mtga.plist)

Uninstalling + reinstalling the Epic Games Launcher, including manually deleting all local log files for the Epic Games Launcher that I could find (~/Library/Application Support/Epic + ~/Library/Application Support/EpicGamesLauncher + ~/Library/Caches/com.epicgames.EpicGamesLauncher + ~/Library/Logs/EpicGamesLauncher + ~/Library/Preferences/com.epicgames.EpicGamesLauncher.plist + ~/Library/Saved Application State/com.epicgames.EpicGamesLauncher.savedState + /Library/Application Support/Epic + /Library/LaunchAgents/com.epicgames.* + /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.epicgames.*)

Same problem. Quite bizarre tbh xD You would think they would do everything in their power to allow people to SPEND

I found a workaround in another thread, credits to MädschigSeGesering#87526:

> go to the folder where the mtga-app is inside
> right click
> get info
> open using rosetta
> I opened mtga and it worked fine for me then

support just told me they cannot help with this problem and to report it here.... seems many of us cannot buy on amc

MacOS Ventura here, also experiencing this since just a few days ago. Making it very difficult to get gems to enter Avatar Premier Draft...... T_T

One work-around suggested is to load the game through your mobile device. Except that the same bundle I'm trying to buy is $20 more expensive if I use the mobile device vs. Epic Games. It's ridiculous.
