claimed experience
After receiving the 1000 experience as the reward through in-game mail, I received the prize for the level gain. It took a few minutes to update on the tracker on the Mastery tab.
The issue came when I played another match, cleared one of my daily quests, earned 750 xp and gained the same level I had gained for the bonus experience listed above.

Quest completion CANNOT get you 750 exp. ALL daily quests only give 500 exp. Some daily quests give 750 GOLD. Which means you WERE at exactly 0 exp for the next level.

What I am referring to is the bonus 1000 xp, put me to level 34. Which I gained the rewards for. Then I acquired another 750XP from quest completion. (I am currently 500 til next level - meaning I was at 750 XP when we earned the 1000 XP). I did not move to level 35, I "leveled" to 34...again. With no reward.

When you hit the level experience exactly, you get the rewards for the new level. But the notification that you gained a Mastery level comes with the next experience you gain.
