Morcant blight not triggering Lasting Tarfire
Used Hovel Hurler's ability on a Gutsplitter Gang. Opponent had a Morcant on the field and flashed in the 4/2 reach elf. Morcant triggered, and I put the counter on my Gutsplitter Gang. At the end of the turn, my Lasting Tarfire did not trigger, though I put a counter on a creature.

I had similar issue when my opponent used Champion of the Weird ability on their turn while I had Lasting Tarfire in play. On the opponent's turn the Lasting Tarfire did not trigger
