fugitive droid
Didn't get screenshots but opponent had an island and Springleaf drum on the field. Cast fugitive droid and my essence scatter had the "uncounterable" animation with the fugitive droid. FD was outlined in red, mana was spent, essence scatter was then immediately discarded.
Unsure how to recreate as I play in solo, curious if anyone else had this issue.
