Bug Error Draft
In a draft game, I exiled the planeswalker "Vivien Reid" with an "Imprisoned in the Moon" enchantment, and my opponent later sacrificed their "Cathar Commando" to bring her back.
Why does "Vivien Reid" return with 8 loyalty counters? Shouldn't the number of counters be reset, and she should re-enter the battlefield with the original 5?
I don't know if it's a bug because my opponent went AFK and I won the game right after (it was practically a guaranteed loss for me, so I got lucky), or if it was a hacker who, when exposed, closed the game.

I thought that since it was an enchantment like "ossification," it would act that way.
Thanks for clarifying. This game can get really complex sometimes. -

The planeswalker never left the battlefield. Imprisoned in the Moon merely turns it into a land, nothing more. So the loyalty counters stay on the now land, because the permanent is still in the same zone and nothing removed them. When Vivien turned back into a planeswalker by destroying Imprisoned in the Moon, she then obviously still had those counters as she did not change zones.
So the core issue here is you not reading the card Imprisoned in the Moon, and instead merely assuming an effect it does not have.
