Game crashing/freezing on more demanding actions
I am repeatedly running into optimalization issues while playing on iPhone. I run a stupid commander deck, Tatyova landfall, that has few wincons in going infinite. Some actions that triggure a large events (not large stacks, but one action trigguring on a larger scale) the game can’t handle it and after a short freeze, ends the game prematurely as a draw with an error message.
Two situations where this happens.
- I build my board to go gather large amount of resources (treasures or direct mana) A) I play Mathemagixs, where X is larger than 8 (i try to make my opponent overdraw) B) i play mirrorform, transforming 25+ entities on board
Both of these events result in the game ending in a draw.
I understand that some actions are not optimized, however choosing to not play MtG with available resources, because they are not optimized seems like a incredibly shallow flaw I have hard time swallowing.
On the same note, in some cases, it is impossible to play with scute swarm. It not only floods the board, but floods the device processing power. Once your scuteswarm is 250 units, it hit’s a cap and when a new one is created, it deltes the oldest copy.
Ok, fair enough, need to limit the space on board. But why does 250 scute swarm resolve on stack one by one? Why not have some solution the have the duplicate triggure resolve in an optimzed action.
It becomes impossible to play anything that could put 2 or more lands on the board, or if there is a landtriggure multiplication. 750 events on stack and the game ends in a draw. Please, optimize 🙏
