When deciding the order of Firebender Ascension’s triggered abilities, the original triggered abilities cannot be checked.
When putting a triggered ability that triggers because another triggered ability triggers, such as Firebender Ascension, onto the stack, it is not possible to check which triggered ability caused that trigger.
This is especially problematic for Firebender Ascension, because which triggered ability is copied changes depending on the order in which Firebender Ascension’s abilities are put onto the stack. This is a critical bug for this card.
Steps to Reproduce
Turn off Auto Order Triggered Abilities in the settings.
Control four creatures that each have a triggered ability that triggers when that creature attacks.
Put Firebender Ascension onto the battlefield.
Attack with the four creatures mentioned above.
Put each creature’s triggered ability onto the stack in any order.
After following the steps above, four triggered abilities of Firebender Ascension will trigger, and the screen for deciding their order will open. However, it is not possible to check which creature’s triggered ability each of the four triggered abilities corresponds to.
This is because, while the UI for deciding the order of Firebender Ascension’s triggered abilities is open, the original triggered abilities are hidden, except for one of them.
(The only ability that remains visible is the ability placed on top in step 5, so only the Firebender Ascension triggered ability corresponding to that ability can be identified.)
I reported this bug on this forum in November 2025:
