Bug on assigning combat trample damage - Pick 2 draft
Damage from a 5/5 trampler vs Black Panther on the prevent damage side 3/3 and I could not assign damage properly so it would trample onto the opponent. It went to automatically assign damage after the timer ram out ad I wanted with 2 onto opponent but then it passed the turn and I couldn’t cast another spell. It was trying to make me assign all 5 damage to the creature.

Whenever there is a damage prevention effect online affecting combat damage, the player must assign combat damage manually. By using the arrows above and below each creature/player/planeswalker that the creature can assign combat damage to. The assigned total has to match the creature's power exactly. And you have to assign lethal damage to all blockers before you can trample over. (Damage prevention does not change this. You can assign the minimun lethal damage to such a protected creature, and that's fine, the creature will just not receive all that damage.)
The important bit here is, there are arrows above and below the creatures/players/planeswalkers. The one you can use right now are white, the ones you cannot use right now are greyed out (can't assign negative damage, so the reducing arrows are not available while 0 combat damage is assigned to that creature/player/planeswalker, can't trample over unless lethal to all blockers has been assigned).
