Game rule which is ignored
So we all know the infinite loop is illegal (unless you can interrupt the process, why in the flying religion of peace is it not enforced?

Mandatory loops, that no player can or wants to interrupt, and won't end on their own, are not illegal, they simply result in a draw in paper Magic. Arena has issues recognizing such a loop, though. An infinite loop that progresses the game state is not illegal either. What is not allowed is an optional infinte loop, that does not progress the game state. In Arena, you will time out eventually. In paper, you call a judge for slow play.
