Opening packs not giving common wild card after 4 copies

While tracking my progress on completing the full set of The Hobbit, I noticed that the progress bar was stuck at 219/240 (common), even after opening several packs (yesterday and today, 2026-09-13 and 2026-09-14). At first, I assumed I simply hadn't been "lucky," but then I realized I wasn't receiving any Common Wildcards.

Whereever did you get the notion from, that excess commons (or unciommons) give you wildcards? They don't. Excess commons and uncommons contribute to the vault, +0.1% for a common and +0.3% for an uncommon. A full vault will give you 3 uncommon wildcards, 2 rare wildcards, and 1 myxthic wildcard.
Likewise, excess rares and mythics give you a couple gems. But when opening packs, rares and mythics have duplicate protection, so you will get a rare or mythic if there is still one left uncollected in the set. Though, you do not get an upgrade or downgrade in rarity. So having all rares complete will not make opening packs get you mythics and vice versa. ICRs have no duplicate protection.
