Planeswalker wasn't destroyed
I attacked an opponent's Jace Multiverse Architect planeswalkerr and dropped its loyalty counters to 0. It wasn't then destroyed like it was supposed to be, and the opponent had not played any cards that would've prevented the destruction. It continued to stay on the battelfield and were able to active one of its planeswalker abilities to bring it back up to 1 loyalty counter.

Did they have a card named sanctum lurker on the board? because that card makes it so that planeswalkers that sanctum lurker’s controller controls aren’t put into the graveyard for having 0 or less loyalty.

New cards do new things:
Sanctum Lurker
Planeswalkers you control aren't put into their owners' graveyards for having 0 loyalty.
