In the Historic format of Magic: The Gathering, decks capable of pulling off a two-turn kill with high probability are all the rage. Since Force of Will is banned in this format, there’s virtually no way to stop these decks. Why aren’t these cards banned? They’re far more problematic than the currently banned cards and are creating a meta that severely distorts deck construction.
In particular, there’s no counterplay against decks that spam free spells and finish the game with Grape Shot on the second or third turn. What is the organization thinking? It’s hard to tell if they’re even thinking at all.
