Game mysteriously ended
I was at 13 health, cast a spell, then the game suddenly ended with my defeat. There was nothing that was added to the stack, nothing from my opponent, just the defeat message.

Did that spell cause you to draw cards, enough to empty your library and then at least one more? If so, you lost to milling out. Trying to draw a card from an empty library is a legitimate way to lose the game, it is the win condition of milling decks.
