Kenriths transformation
I was playing a game of brawl and had ashaya soul of the wild ok the battlefield.
My opponent cast kenriths transformation on my ashaya which should have made it lose all abilities but it didn't. My creatures all still tapped for mana as if they were lands and playing new creatures still triggered my landfall abilities.

Ashaya did lose all her abilities. But that doesn't help when the effect of the ability in question is applied before it is lost. Which is the case, due to the layer system of applying continuous effects. Type changes happes in layer 4, ability losing in layer 6. So type changes always happen before abilities are lost, time stamps don't matter.
In short, ability losing cannot shut dowen type changing effects.
