1. Mystic forge not working entirely

   The card mystic forge is not letting me play any artifacts off the to of my deck, and it doesn't seem to be applying cost reduction from cards like Jhoira's Familiar

2. Trade Feature

   MTGA is really fun and enjoyable. But i would like to balance it better with physical, paper magic cards and play with my family and friends. I looked it up and apparently MTGO has a trade feature. Also it allows you to turn in complete digital sets for physical paper sets for a reasonable fee. I would like to see this implemented into MTGA in the future. Allowing players to trade amongst each other would be awesome! And allowing us to trade in complete digital sets for real, physical paper ones would encourage me to actually buy into the $100 digital cards cuz now if i can quickly complete a set, i can pay another fee to turn it into real cards. Allowing Wizards to make dough qhile also giving me the sense of actual value in these cards on Arena knowing i can pay to have them mailed to me. You can even make the feature better than Magic: Online by allowing us to turn any completed set on Arena into a physical one eith an increasing price depending on how old the set is. For example, Innistrad Midnight Hunt is releasing. So if players complete the whole set they can trade it in for physical cards for like $50. If the player has a complete set in standard, just not the current one (Aventures if the Forgotten Realm to Zendikar Rising) theyd have to pay $75 to turn in complete sets. ($50 for redemption fee, $25 for non-current set) and anything out of standard can be like $100 or whatever you think is fair. And the extra fee is like a legacy fee. Just an idea. I'd pay for it.

3. Product Suggestion - game formats

   Hi, I have two product suggestions.
   - One is obvious: split historic into two formats, one normal and one for alchemy as it is in standard.
   - Second, include all old editions in historic, or add legacy/vintage to MTGA, so we can build those sweet decks from long ago (what use is my Black Lotus pet and sleeve, if I can't play the card? :/). Potentially two legacy/vintage modes, if you want to mix alchemy into everything.

5. Ignoring customers, QOL and Economy issues

   A portion of the player base, myself included, still feel ignored over recent trend of activity. Rather than addressing known bugs, arena economy concerns, alchemy concerns etc….you decided to ignore and move on to add new stuff instead. Can you address the **** economy? Sufficient and more comparable rewards(decathlon rewards for cost was a joke) and vault replacement? Parallax cards not generating parallax tokens? Pioneer/anthology plans, or lack thereof? Daily “deals” being very meager and weak? Eternal format intentions? Hand smoothing algorithm(shuffler is fine) concerns? Bugs? Like literally anything!!! I understand the importance of growing a customer base, but ignoring existing customer player concerns is insulting. The state or game announcements anymore is just advertising ways for players to invest more into the game. Maybe, just maybe, you can stop pushing forward with new ****….address existing issues and concerns?! I really do not think it is much to ask.

6. Experience levels

   I have been playing this for while now and I think there should be a lil more experience orientated. Like I'm a total beginner, I'm not good enough to know exactly what cards can be played with what and what everything means. It seems as though I'm definitely not playing against people of my experience, they all seem way more advanced than me and they kick my *** everytime. I've played over 100 games now and have only won once. That is ridiculous and doesn't give me any incentive to keep playing if I'm always gonna get laid out every game. Players should be playing against other players with the same experience levels but it seems everyone is easy out of my experience level. I've spent quite a bit of money on this game as well and I'm ready to stop playing all together because I can't seem to get opponents that are at my level.

9. Daily Wins are breaking the health of your play queue and driving people away

   The behavior of players around the 15 daily wins is turning the Standard Play queues into one of the most toxic queues in the game. You know there is a problem when the common wisdom of the game is "just play Ranked, you'll have an easier time." This stems Directly from the 15 Daily Wins quest. People seeking fast wins pile into Standard queue and grab fast aggro decks that win in 3-5 turns. However, that isn't all. Because the nature of the queue is fast games there are many players that opt for forcing a fast surrender. Roping every turn to make the game take longer is incentivized as well. If you can convince the other player to surrender and move on in a few turns then you have succeeded. It creates a zero sum situation, where the only way to play the queue is for everyone to be a troll. This includes having a deck Entirely made of removal so that neither player plays a single card and the field remains completely empty for 40 minutes as you slowly draw out your decks. Even trick decks like Tibalt's with low win rates, the point is to force a surrender early, by having a toxic deck that people recognize and immediately surrender in order to move on. It means there is no queue to test a new deck on. At least no queue to test decks on that isn't Aggro or Surrender decks.

   15 wins also breaks one of the cool things about MTG. Long games. Some of the best games are the ones that can go over an hour, but with 15 wins as the goal, why would anyone spend that long? Better to surrender and keep grinding.

   Then it also makes the game very anti-social. Which is to the Serious detriment of the game. You don’t have friends on MTGA, you don’t need them. You won’t play with them. You can’t get daily wins from playing with them, and you need those wins to get the coins to get the cards to build more decks. It literally disincentivizes even playing with friends at all.

   This is creating a really toxic environment throughout the game that is steadily driving away both free-to-play and paying players. I've personally spent quite a bit on this game already, and this may be my last "season" as over the 4 months of playing, nearly every night I have finished my session frustrated and angry. And not because I feel like I'm "bad" at the game, but because I've had to spend a Lot of time grinding out a final few wins. I have spent Hours getting two wins, and it's simply because the draw didn't favor me. My aggro deck didn't get off the ground fast enough, or the other person drew a lucky card and was able to turn the tables once I was out of gas. For Play queue, there really isn't another answer other than queue back up and hope you have a better hand. I started out four months ago, and at the time I talked to a few friends to play this with them. Most of them dropped it within a week, citing the 15 daily wins as too much of a problem. I'm a stubborn person, so I wanted to keep pushing, I had also spent money and wanted to see some return on my investment. However I am also reaching the end of my rope with this game. 15 wins is just too much, it drives new players away from the game.

   Now, there is a Very simple solution here. 5 Daily wins, then take the rewards from the other 10 and spread them out into a 35 Weekly wins setup. 5 wins will average around an hour a day, which is reasonable for “warming up” and allows for space to do other things, like play with friends or toy with the other queues for a bit. With 35 weekly then, you can be pretty sure you will clear that each week without too much trouble (5 times 7 is 35, so clearing the daily wins will net the weekly rewards by the end of the week.) It’s a very simple change, could be even better if wins against friends counted. Sure some will just trade wins quickly to get the wins out of the way, but most will just take the opportunity to play each other and have fun doing so.

   If you really want to solve this though, I think you could remove the daily wins entirely and do more of a quest board. Every three months you release a new set. Have each of these sets release with a quest board that gives you rewards for playing (and/or) winning with different cards or combinations. Make players explore and truly "master" the sets as they are released. Players have three months to complete as much of the board as they can. This can be as broad as picking certain color themes or specific core cards, and having players win x number of games with them (over three months, so much less pressure) or as specific as having each card in the set have its own quest for winning a handful of games using that card.

   The second option there would be a double hitter, incentivizing creative deck building, diversifying decks being played and removing the incentives for trolling. This game is so close to being a good introduction, its just falling at the finish line.

   The other Big problem is the Wildcard system. What ends up happening is that players build up hundreds of Common, Uncommon and Mythic Rare Wildcards, while having 0 Rare Wildcards. Largely because decks rely Heavily on Rare cards. And what ends up happening is those Mythic Rare drops that are handed to you feel more like a punishment than a reward. What the **** am I going to do with my 30th Mythic Rare Wildcard while I’m still at 5 Rares and need 40 of them for this deck I want?

   Again, simple solutions are present. The simplest would be to remove the current Wildcard system and turn Wildcards into a number value. Common become worth 2, Uncommon 4, Rare 8, and Mythic Rare 16. That number value then can be spent to purchase any card. You can even play with the purchase value, being kinder with buying a Common needing only 1 point, and a Mythic only 8, or meaner with buying a common set to 4 points, and Mythic 32. Or anywhere in between. But with a number value, now every Wildcard is valuable, and those Mythic Drops feel good, because that could be enough to put you over the value of the deck you want to build.

   Further on this note, Why The **** do you not get a Rare or Mythic Rare Wildcard for drafting a 5th copy of a rare card in Limited? That is an absolutely Disgusting practice. When I found out that I wasn't getting Rare and Mythic rare wild cards from rare drafting I nearly quit right on that one. I understand turning Common and Uncommon into "Vault Progress" you get so many of them in draft. But if a player wants to Weaken their chances of winning the draft by Rare drafting, the least you can do is give them an extra wildcard for their efforts. What the **** is wrong with you guys? Do you want a sustainable player base to milk whales or not?

10. Impact on in game economy

    The latest release of Alchemy was the final straw for me, an avid MTG player since Scars of Mirrodin, and spender of on average around £100 a month on Arena.
    The shear volume of rares being released, the lack of any in game mechanism for 'dusting', trading, or likewise, and understanding that cards can now be reduced in quality with zero refund opportunity having removed all consumer confidence in my purchases has just made me delete my payment details from the Arena client, and I'll no longer be a pay to play player.
    I fully understand that Wizards couldn't care less about my measly £100 a month, but having loved this game for nigh on a decade, I felt I needed to voice my exasperation at this final move by Wizards to force me to stop wasting my money on your company. I guess I'll save it instead or something sensible.

11. Ultra wide resolution needs to be supported in 2021

    Hi,
    It is about time 21:9 resolutions are supoorted, there are many players using this type of monitors and having 2 big bars on the sides is not a good option.

12. Ban Tibalt Trickery

    Turn two Ulamog, Ugin, Genesis Ultimatum, etc. Who thought this was a good idea? Love the idea of a red counter with a drawback, but the wording should have been an opponent's spell. Turned a good idea into a sigh worthy trend.

13. Missing Cards After Opening Packs

    opened packs and received 3 Planeswalkers and only have 1 in my collection. I could also be missing other cards as I did not check the entire log vs my collection as there were a ton of packs.

14. Cheats

    Here's why I'm making a deal with myself to stop playing the game:

    When I log in on a MacBook Air, through the Epic Games Store, almost every single opponent appears to be running third party software with cheats. I see things where the counting rules go wrong, or absolute numerical impossibilities where it becomes a mathematical necessity to claim that my deck had been shuffled silently. Every time I observe a cheat, I concede as fair sport, and then see that text in the game menu has been blacked out - that part is a dead ringer for third party software and cheating.

    So, it's unreasonable for the company to permit third party software, because it apparently causes rampant cheating. There was already too much rigging on paper, or stupid onClick() errors in MTGO, so this is where I think I will take my permanent departure from Magic: The Gathering. It shouldn't really get a fourth or fifth try to impress me, but I offer thanks and gratitude for letting me play.

15. Ban “The Book of Exalted Deeds”

    Please, please ban the “Book of Exalted Deeds”. For 3 mana, the entire game is ruined. I was dominating my last 3 matches, then, for 3 mana, the game is over. This card defeats the entire purpose of the game and I won’t be playing anymore if that’s how every game ends. Who’s idea was it to make a “I win, you lose” card that only costs 3 mana?

16. Permanent Phantom Draft

    Create a permanent 'Phantom Draft' (aka, you dont keep the cards) that runs 1000 gold per draft with same 'break even' rewards that you have now.

    Reasons Why Below:

    This is simply to allow players who love to draft the chance to do so at least once a day via free gold.

    Drafting is one of the, if not THE, most fun format of magic. But due to it's high cost of entry, is significantly underplayed. Especially on Arena where most players are free to play players.

    As it stands, your current mythic limited rankings is less "who is the best" and more "who had enough gems/consecutive draft wins" to keep playing.

    Easy example: I was well on my way to mythic, but "OH NO, 3 bad drafts and unlucky runs in a row, you're outta gems/coins!" Now with my lack of funds, there is a very real chance I won't hit mythic in limited simply because I get at max 10k gold a week as a free to play player.

    We are now on a digital platform with little to no IRL card worth(unlike MTGO) and no cost to create draft packs. This is the perfect chance to let people play the living heck outta draft and significantly develop the competitiveness of the format.

    With the additional amount of plays and lower cost, we may even see multiple shifts in the draft meta months after a set release as people grow accustomed to the set.

    Does it HAVE to be a player draft? No. You could easily run it as a quick draft and save player drafts as a way to encourage spending on gems.

    Giving players, old and new, the ability to play and learn drafts of new sets without ruining them financially is within your power as a company at little to no cost. Something that has never truly been available to you before.

    Please. I REALLLLLY want to draft but I'm poor :(

17. MMR System Needs Work

    Greetings. This is going to be a bit of a long post, but I feel it needs to be said. Your matchmaking system desperately needs work.

    When I first began playing this game, I ramped to Mythic in about a week, with a Winrate of over 70%, even on the Draw. The upper-echelon ranks, such as Diamond and Mythic, were a bit tougher, but nothing significantly impeded me from my progress. I even got to top 1200 with it.

    Imagine my surprise when, the next month, I was being matched with power metagame decks in Platinum with people who knew exactly how to pilot them. I came to this server along with GMaximus and others complaining loudly about the shuffler, insisting that it was rigged to "feed" wins to my opponent. I no longer think this is the case.

    As a test for this most recent Season (which is an experiment I am not likely to repeat given its implications), I snap conceded about 1,000 games over the course of a week, just before the January Ranked Season began. As suspected, I once again ramped to Mythic with a winrate of over 60% in a week. I even got a HIGHER winrate on the Draw, even in Mythic, for which I have ample documentation. However, once I hit T1200, the guardrails appear to have been removed, and I am back to facing power decks piloted by extremely talented players. Well, more talented than I am at least. I fully suspect these tough matchups will remain with me as long as I continue to play this game.

    As a result of this experiment, I believe Magic "soft-pedals" new users to the game to keep them from getting discouraged. It is not an "honest" ranking system as it is with ELO in Chess, because your MMR those first one or two months do not update with tougher opponents as rapidly as it should. It is also easily exploitable, as demonstrated by my rendering "rank" completely irrelevant with one afternoon of conceding matches. If I were to speculate on the simplest, most cost- and time-efficient way of accomplishing this goal, I would simply match players who have reached T1200 on one or two occasions with each other. No muss, no fuss, nothing requiring an actual matchmaking system.

    Giving new users a break like this is understandable if you think in the short term, but long term it is not sustainable. By using this method, you give people a false impression that they are better at the game than they are, and that the game is worth investing in. The enthusiastic players will naturally invest good money into something they feel they have a natural ability at as I did.

    So when you remove the illusions from their eyes, you wind up with influential personalities like CGB and others badmouthing the state of the game with shuffler complaints, which leads to toxic overflow on your forums and other official sources. I fear that you may ensure short term profitability with this method, but long term you will suffer as your reputation for fudging the numbers gets established.

    If I were to suggest a solution, I would recommend a more adaptable, dynamic MMR system based on actual skill and collection strength, rather than absolute cake mode followed by total domination. At the very least, MMR should increase immediately based on winrate instead of a delay, and snap concedes should not function as such a simple method of "gaming" the system.

    Unlike last time, I am willing to admit I may be biased or somehow incorrect, but it's difficult to prove that given Wizards' complete opacity on the nature of their matchmaking system, not to mention other calculations made by the game (hand smoothing, for example). ****, I can't even access the lead designers's posts on these subjects any longer, because those forums have been terminated. I have statistics for all this available upon request.

    Greetings. This is going to be a bit of a long post, but I feel it needs to be said. Your matchmaking system desperately needs work.

    When I first began playing this game, I ramped to Mythic in about a week, with a Winrate of over 70%, even on the Draw. The upper-echelon ranks, such as Diamond and Mythic, were a bit tougher, but nothing significantly impeded me from my progress. I even got to top 1200 with it.

18. Thank you for ruining the game

    I think the tittle says it all, instead of wasting your time coming up with new formats and collections that no one can keep up with, what about instead focusing on improving the arena client? Or the fcking shuffler, or the matchmaking? Is impossible to have a pleasant time every time I try to play this game, the amount of money needed to keep playing on queue is totally unacceptable and when free to play players like me finally manage to build a good card collection you guys keep fcking printing cards like there is no tomorrow, I didn't even see half of the cards this new set introduced but here take more, and by the way all the wildcards you used are now useless .. then you introduce Alchemy .. whatever. Let's "ban" epiphany but let's add some hardcore perpetual mana reduction .. sure that will balance things out .. it is frustrating really, I was playing mono black for a long time and I cannot express the amount of times that in my hand was at least 2 blood on the snow and a meathook.. I'm not complaining about that but **** what are the probability of that happening almost every game?? 19. Claim all mastery orbs at once

    Can you please implement a feature to allow users to redeem all the mastery orbs at the same time? Or add a way to cancel the animation. It is honestly the most painful part about your mastery passes. It's something I actively do not look forward to doing. But I still do use them as the value loss for not using them is even more painful. It feels incredibly time consuming to be sitting there for 2-3min slowly claiming each one at the end of the season.
