How to report a bug

1.       Give us the steps to reproduce the bug

2.       Note which platform you’re using (PC, Steam, Mac, Android, or iOS)

3.       Enter the actual results you’re experiencing

4.       Enter the expected results of the feature

5.       Add any relevant screenshots/videos

6.       If you found a workaround, please add workaround steps.

 

Examples of bugs: Incorrect rules interactions, wrong event rewards, issues with client functions like creating decks

  1. "Friendly Brawl" Not really supported?

    Is there a "Find match" option for friendly (Historic Legal) Brawl that I'm missing? Just burned a bunch of wild cards for mystical archives that I thought Id be able to play in my new codie deck- but I can only play this deck with direct challenge? Feels bad. Maybe add a find match for this format or warn me in the deck builder that this deck will be practically unplayable? If there is a find match somewhere its too hard to find. Burned two mythic wilds.

  2. Not recieving any rewards for winning games + no quests shown in main menu

    Hello I have a big issue as at the moment - I have one many games in standard and ranked and I have not recieved ANY rewards - absolutely zero gold and xp for my wins. I also cannot see any quests in the main menu.
    I have spent on the pre release for the pack for strixhaven.

    I would like my gold and xp given compensation for the games I did not recieve rewards for and if possible the quests to be fixed.

  4. Suggestion: Introduce a max deck size of around 100-150 to reflect IRL rules

    In reality, the rule exists "There's no maximum deck size, as long as you can shuffle your deck in your hands unassisted". I see players playing 200+ cards in a deck in Arena. A deck limit of 100-150 would be reasonable given almost no players could physically shuffle more than this. This prevents situations in Arena where people play 300 card 'do nothing' decks that aim to mill the opponent over the course of over 50 draw steps and drag games on for over 30 minutes.

  5. Multiplayer, more battle type and modes, future projects.

    MTGA:

    -Multiplayer battles

    -Planeswalker battles, like in the PS3 game, multiplayer for this too.

    This is a social game, though you cant currently tell.

    I can see this expanding to PS5. It could be come a beast.
    I am currently playing on PC because I havnt seen you on consoles for a while. MISS YOU!!!

    For future projects, please do not ditch the purchases we are making now.

    Id like to keep playing with the old cards (in the future) that I am playing with (and bought) today. Keep the value while increasing through new releases.

  6. Match me with players of a similar playing speed

    I am constantly frustrated that most people I play are VERY slow.

    I am typically a very fast player and do not require a lot of thinking time, have a fast computer and a fast internet connection.

    It takes me less than 30 seconds to play my turn, and most of my opponents have the timer appear or are very slow in their phases. I often quit slow games so I can play someone who can make a decision quickly so that I can get 3-4 games in during the time it takes to play 1 slow player.

  7. Achievement System

    I am copy-pasting this from a forum post I made. It's a bit long-winded but bear with it, please. :) Thanks and I hope you like this idea. I really think it's a way to bring in new players, help new players to be more welcomed to the game by a more diverse meta created by the presence of what I suggest.

    Now here. We. Go:

    So, Magic is great. (the current meta excluded)

    It's got the most depth, best gameplay, most interesting lore and longest run out of all the trading card games out there.

  8. Reduce mobile graphics

    Please give an option to reduce mobile graphics. Or automatically reduce graphics once a large number of cards and tokens are present on the field. I just had to concede a game because the client froze on my phone once I had 30+ permanents

  9. Time out

    Time outs should not be added throughout the match. Once used they should gone. One player sat through 4 time outs, played a card and then a turn later had 3 time outs to sit through. The game becomes unbearable when you have to sit through a 30 minute game

  10. View opponent's hand during sideboarding

    During a bo3 game. If you use a card that reveals the opponent's hand (such as Thoughtseize or Inquisition of Kozilek), once you go into sideboarding for the next game, the timer covers up the opponents hand, so that you can't hover over the cards.

    I suggest that we change it so we can hover on the opponent's hand through the timer.

  11. TOO MUCH REMOVAL!!!

    I swear, there is so much mass removal that it feels like the Republicans are still in office! What is the fun in constantly being told, "No?"

    Basically, whoever gets more denial cards wins the game when their opponent ragequits now. It doesn't matter how many creatures I throw at the board, my opponents can always negate them. AND THIS HAPPENS WITH ANY COLOR, not just black/blue! I mean, if my experience is any guide, almost EVERYBODY is running black/white mass removal because it doesn't just destroy stuff, it EXILES IT, which means that no creature is ever safe, and…

  12. Black screen just before homepage

    Shows black screen just before it shows the main screen. Previously the application crashed after I was awarded a new deck (black & red something or other)

  13. Bug with sideboard

    When playing on Android device in Traditional Ranks (Standard) I was not able to sideboard. The attached collection filter was presented.
    Playing Bo3 without a SB is kinda tough....

  14. Add "Low Graphics" setting to MTGA Mobile

    My brother and I have decent mid-tier Androids capable of running MTGA's beta client, but the game constantly lags and freezes during play and even deckbuilding.

    It would be extremely helpful to those with weaker phones if there could be added a graphics quality variance option similar to that used in other games, which would allow the user to disable things like extra particles, animations, and models that slow the game down.

    Pets and flashy animations and whatnot are great on my PC, but I'd rather have the option of a visually simple game of Magic that runs perfectly than…

  15. Faster Mastery Tree Orb Fulfillment

    I'm the kind of player who gets the mastery pass at the end of a set's life cycle, right before a new set releases. I like to get all the rewards at once, and while I like clicking through all the progression rewards to see what I've earned, clicking through the mastery tree orbs to get all 25 card styles at once is tedious and time-consuming. It would be really great if there was an option to use all the orbs at once and skip every individual orb animation. Of course, it would make sense to have the option to…

  16. DISABLE/TURN OFF ANIMATIONS !!!!!!

    Please allow us to turn off animations. I want to use an older computer to run MTG arena, but it cannot handle the excessive animations, even at the lowest graphic settings.

    There is probably some sort of marketing or focus group reason that exists to force players to see animations, because Hasbro thinks that it will foster interest. Or, perhaps employees such as animators are hesitant to allow this due to fears of becoming redundant and losing their jobs. However, this puts hardship upon the users and create a nuisance, please reconsider your course of action.

  17. Sideboard in Direct Challenger

    Today I had the same issue. When I was playing a direct challenger with a friend at best of 3 games, we only saw the first seven cards of our sideboards. We also had the same issue playing a tournament match between my friend and I.
    After cancelling the direct challenger, our deck were automaticly mopdified deleting the last 8 card of our sideboards.

  18. More graphics options to improve performance

    I have been running Arena on a system without a GPU lately. While I expect the performance to be lousy, I have noticed that some boards are worse than others. For instance, playing on the crystal and lava board associated with Ikoria cuts my frame rate to a quarter, making the game nearly unplayable.

    If there were an option in the graphics prefs to force an environment override to something simpler, the game would be open to a wider selection of hardware configurations.

    In addition, options to turn off some of the effects might be welcome, not only for performance…

  19. Friend tab is not working on iOS

    Ever since the update making the friend tab reappear it is just not working on iOS (phone & tablet).
    Friends are not appearing in the tab, it is not possible to set status to offline or busy, message cannot be received or displayed.

    Despite not visible it was still possible to challenge friends and the actions were working fine before the update.
    The issue does not seems to occur on PC as the friends are properly displayed and message can be sent.

  20. black screen while opening the game

    Whenever I click in the MTG icon to open the game, I get a black screen only showing the MTG's mouse cursor. It should open the game normally.
