Error Updating Data
The game is stuck on startup.
It says : "Error Updating Data - Please check your connection and try again".
Obviously my connection work just fine. I think this is a bug.
Thank you for your time and patience

Been playing Magic Arena since Final Fantasy released a few months ago with zero issues on mobile or on PC - Steam. Started to have this problem for a day today and a day last week on PC only. Following day it just starts working again. Uninstalled and reinstalled, checked internet on Ethernet and Wifi, IP settings, no issues there. It must be server side.

This is at least the third time this has happened to me. It's usually a day or two after there's been an update, and then I can't play for 12-24 hrs till it suddenly works again

Having the same trouble on my Windows laptop.
The weirdest thing? It just randomly disappears after a few reconnections... -

same issue with brandnew mac air book. it used to work for a few week, but after the latest update this error appeared. i tried different stuff: restart the laptop, install the programm again, change the name of my device, change IPv6 settings, manually delete all the files and then reinstall the programm. but its not working!!!

Same issue in Italy, 25.04.2025.
Not the first time.
Of course both my wi-fi and phone hotspot are working perfectly fine. -

I'm having the same issue in February 2025, unable to get into the game. None of the provided fixes have worked thus far.

Sill not working for me.
Changed the DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, and disabled IPv6, was able to connect and after the first game it says i have no connection to the game any, and now I am unable to connect.
I tried a different network earlier, and it worked.
I searched the logs but the message does not work at all to help me find que source of the problem. The last message in the log is:

Not sure if this helps, or is just specific to me, but I have both a 2G and 5G wifi at my home. When using the 5G connection I get the error, but when using the 2G connection it seems to work (after restarting the game).

Same issue but it's September now. Was playing this morning on my cell, now it's stuck. How to fix? Un-installed & reinstalled, no help.
