To Report a Bug or Provide Feedback

Before reporting a bug, check to see if it has already been reported. In the Issue Title below search for specific key terms from your issue.



Example: Shivan Dragon (Note: Partial words won’t show up, so use “Shivan” instead of “Shiv.”)

If your issue has been reported already, simply click the vote button to show us you’ve experienced that issue as well. If you feel you have additional information that could be helpful to us in tracking down the issue please feel free to add it.

If your bug has not been reported, please do so now! Update the Issue Title to reflect the problem you’ve encountered.

Example: Shivan Dragon doesn’t work

Choose the Category that describes your problem.

Describing the problem in the following fashion helps make clear what happened and allows us to investigate the issue faster.

  1. Summarize the problem
  2. List the steps you took that led to the problem
  3. What was the result that happened when you followed those steps
  4. What was the result you expected to happen when you followed those steps

Example: The life tracker didn’t track my life.

  1. Open the life tracker and start a game
  2. Try to remove or add life to my life total
  3. Actual: my life total didn’t change
  4. Expected: my life total goes up or down
You can provide additional information that can also help us conclude an investigation quickly. Great information to include:

1.  What type of device you’re using
2. What version of your operating system you’re using
3. A screenshot of the issue (Note: it must be smaller than 50 mb in size)
4. Whether re-starting the application and attempting the steps again solved the problem

  1. Round Time

    An idea, to put the time of the current round synchronized with the players' scoreboard, to be able to keep track of how much time is left before the turns.

  2. Commander Options

    Please add the ability to put names in for each player and the ability to pick background (they look great but would like to match to the deck I'm playing). Also Commander could use the option for more than 4 players and the app should adjust the number of players under Commander DMG to reflect the number of players picked in the game.

  3. Poison Counters Missing

    I’m using the companion app to track life playing pre-release with friends at work. With poison counters back in standard with Fynn, I’ve noticed that there’s no way to add said counters when you have the “Limited” or “Standard” format selected. I mean it’s not the end of the world to have to choose one of the other formats when setting up a game tracker, but it would be nice just to have the additional counters added to a 3rd page past the mana ones or on the same page as the additional mana counters

  4. Add Turn Timer

    I have been looking for a turn timer for magic for about a decade. One that could be used in group games as well as tournaments. In casual play it helps move the game along and keeps those players that just talk through there turn more focused and in tournaments it can keep track of how long someone is taking on their turn. I have lost so many games to people who purposely play slow to force a draw.

  5. Remove the Tournament Organiser

    I used the home tournament function.
    The organizer, who owns the companion, wants to run the event without attending it, but it was included in the participants and could not be deleted.
    I thought it would be good if the companion owner could cancel the participation if the organizer did not participate and only operated.

    コンパニオンの持ち主である主催者はイベントに参加せず、運営を行いたいのですが、参加者に組み込まれており、削除ができませんでした。

    主催は参加せずに運営のみとする場合に、コンパニオンの持ち主の参加の取り止めができると良いと思いました。

  6. Customize Planeswalker Art

    My play group has very strong opinions about various planeswalkers, and it would be nice if we could choose who showed up behind our life totals

  7. Reduce Click Count to Begin Game

    The average number of clicks to start a game is somewhat high (5 by my count), and it would be nice if the app did things like save formats I play a lot to keep that count down.

  8. Companion results incorrectly reported as a draw

    In rare cases, match results for EventLink events are reported as draws instead of expected results when using the Companion app.

    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Participate in an EventLink event using the Companion app.
    2. Submit results for a match - for example, winning 2-1.

    Actual Results: In rare circumstances, the match is reported as 0-0.
    Expected Results: You are reported as winning 2-1.

  9. das spiel schmiert regelmäßig ab

    es gibt unzählige updates, die ewig brauchen und danach schmiert dass spiel nur um so häufiger ab oder andere fehler treten auf
    (das ist schon seit monaten so!!!), deshalb,
    scheist die nutzlosen volldeppen, die für die spiel wartung verantwortlich sind einfach raus und ersetzt sie durch affen, dass resultat wäre wohl das selbe (das spiel läuft nicht normal!!) nur billiger in sachen bezahlung

    das ist mein voller ernst arschtritt, rausschmeisen und jm. einstellen der es kan!!!!

  10. Add Tiny Leaders format to Life Counter menu

    Tiny Leaders is a popular format in my area,, and it would be great to have the Life Counter menu support it.

    As a reminder, the required fields are:
    Starting life 25;
    Commander damage is not a win condition, so no need to track.

  12. Can't add players to my local event.

    Hi,
    I can open an event (I have now 3 private ones on my list).
    When I Klick on the textfeld to add another player the keyboard flashes up and closes immediately.
    So no chance to enter another player.

    Reinstalling the app doesn't help. (So newest android version)

    Sidenote, I'm judge for a store and events I create at Eventlink also show up in my list.
    But there are some bugs if I want to control those events via Companion app.

    As an Idea, you could add the magic story's texts as a Thing.

    The story really get lost in…

  13. Host options as guest not available

    It’s not possible to adjust the tournament options when hosting as guest.
    When clicking on hosting as guest you can enter players. But going back to adjust the options it jumps to the host start page. Dead loop.

    Still an issue with the newest app on iOS as of 4th October 2020.

    Si potrebbe aggiungere la possibilità di vedere i regolamenti su alcune carte specifiche, la possibilità di vedere eventi futuri e iscriversi dall'app, la possibilità di contattare un judge o il proprietario durante l'evento, una cronologia dei cambio di punti vita per evitare imbrogli e la possibilità di vedere le ultime notizie di mtg
