Before You Create a New Report


Before creating a new report, please enter the issue in the Issue Title field below to see if your issue has already been reported. It is a good idea to limit this to a few key words, like a device name or specific feature.

Example: webcam not found (Note: Partial words may not bring up results, we recommend to try webcam instead of cam or web cam)

If your issue has been reported already, click the VOTE button so that we know you've experienced that bug as well. You can also leave a comment if you'd like to add to the conversation about that bug or provide additional information you think might be useful.

  1. Summarize the problem

Additional Information to Provide


You can provide additional information that can also help us perform an investigation quickly. Great information to include:
  1. The brand, model, and/or type of device you’re using (USB webcam, Android/Tablet, iPhone/iPad, etc.)
  2. The version or your operating system you’re using (i.e.: Windows 10, MacOS Big Sur, Android 11, iOS 14, etc.)
  3. Your browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, Opera, etc.)
  4. A screenshot of the issue or any error messaging received (Note: it must be smaller than 50 mb in size)
  5. The last are simple checks for any camera/microphone issues you might encounter:
  • Ensured permission has been granted for your Camera and Microphone through your preferred browser: Use your camera & microphone
  • Ensured that no other programs are using your Camera or Microphone (you can find information on how to perform this check by searching online)
  • Temporarily disabling any Anti-Virus programs that might disable camera and microphone access (even if you’re already granted it)
  • Tested your camera is working with Online Mic Test

    There was a problem changing the camera, try closing your camera app

    I can get three different sources shown correctly right before I join in but as soon as I do, everyone else's screen is black and has this same message- it doesn't make any sense because I can't change other peoples cameras. Also, I can see other people's camera's for about a half second before it just blacks out and gives the error message for everyone.

  2. "We had trouble using your device" with Surf Onn 1440p with Autofocus

    I found a Surf Onn 1440p Webcame in clearance at walmart for cheap and figured it be a good upgrade from me old one, my wifes old unbranded webcam that gives off a fisheye affect while playing. But the new one wont work on Spelltable. All is ee is a black screen than this text shows up " We had trouble using your device" Ive reset permissions multiple times and the old webcam still works with Spelltable but this new one wont. Again it works in other apps like Discord so im not sure whats going on. How do i…

  3. phone camera not working

    The phone camera is not working as of 08/21/25. I've had no issues for the last 6 months. Now I can't get video to load no matter what browser I use or what aspect ratio I put the camera settings to. I've tried turning on and off the Configure Inputs option for "Use phone as Webcam" and every other thing I can think of. Every time I try to load in video the QR code remains on screen and the phone screen goes blank after several moments of the "contacting server" message.

  4. There was a problem changing the camera, try closing your camera app.

    I went to play a game of Commander with my friends like i just did 6 hours ago. In the lobby screen i could see my Cam just like i used to for the past 1.5 years but after clicking join lobby it showed ,,There was a problem changing the camera, try closing your camera app.". It is the first time i had that problem, as I said 6h earlier it worked just fine and all my attempts to fix it failed. Please Help

  6. Waiting for Participant

    I keep having this error popping up on my screen. I have reloaded, disabled ad blocker, turned of anti virus, and even reset my computer. What can be done? I have used the same Webcam and mic before.

  8. Phone camera not working for games of commander

    I've been trying to use my phone camera (it has 4 options for camera) everytime I try what ends up happening is 3 of them say "we had trouble using your device and the fourth is just a blank screen on my phone with my computer not seeming to find it at all.

  9. Spelltable: No cameras and sound are loaded, error in console no one else had

    When I open spelltable on 1 specific device (Windows 11 desktop) and try and use the mobile phone as camera, I do see other players, but I cannot hear them and I cannot see their screens, and neither can they hear me/see my screen. Also they can hear each other and see their boards. When i use a different device (laptop with windows 11) it works without issue (same account used in all cases).   10. No mobile camera is working.

    Ive used spelltable for 3 years, so im used to random bugs. However, whenever i try to use my iphone 15 pro as a camera it either send me to a gray screen with no text and my qr code is still on my computer. Or it just flat out doesnt work. I cant even join games properly anymore.

  11. OBS will not connect

    OBS worked fine from April until July. Started to connect today (9/17/25), and I get the message from the screen-print below. I uninstalled OBS and reinstalled, then reinstalled an older version and received the same message.

  13. spelltable decklist link doesn't move when randomizing players

    I tried the ability to link my archidekt decklist in a spelltable game. It added a button to the corner of my quadrant of the screen (using the 4-way split view) that would open the decklist in a new window. This link was available to all the players, which I presume was intentional though I'm not sure is what I wanted to have happen.

    Regardless, after setting up our commanders I randomized the player order, but the link to my decklist always remained in the same quadrant I was originally in, not the one I ended up in.
