And I kid you not, I literally had mods tell me that "there is nothing wrong with the shuffler" and that I should "take my conspiracy theories back to twitter" (I don't even have a twitter....). I even had someone aggressively DM me. IDK about yall, but that was so unwelcoming and rude. These are legitimate concerns and they are shared by THOUSANDS of people, evident by the hundreds of comments on this single post alone (https://feedback.wizards.com/forums/918667-mtg-arena-bugs-product-suggestions/suggestions/44184111-algorithm-improvement). So, I just left the discord. Amazing community building, Wizards, real cute. Additionally, I asked why the twitch stream today didn't respond to questions about the shuffler, and was told they DELIBERATLEY ignored these questions because apparently making your customers out to be crazy complainers is your business model????
An error occurred while saving the comment thelastraisin#77104 commentedWhat is the point of playing ranked when I consistently go up against >200 card decks? Why isn't there a limit? This seems unrelated to this post, but I think lots of bad players (or may be good players also?) are doing this to get around the shuffler. And even if that isn't the only reason, clearly your game is currently broken. This is my last season playing (or at least purchasing anything, that's for dang sure) after over 10 years on arena.

Also, no, this won't get me to the store to buy your pieces of cardboard. Get real.

I just got back into Arena and now I want to quit again :( I enjoy making powerful, but entirely thematic decks. I play ranked for fun, not really to rank up, I just want a good challenge. But wizards really takes the fun out of it by screwing up the algorithm to get more money out of bad players. Why spend all of this time crafting really cool decks, if at the end of the day, it kind of doesn't matter. Honestly, I think that's why Arena is so meta heavy, and for me personally, why it is so freaking boring at the end of every season. These types of practices kill creativity and instead reward people who probably don't even like building decks, but look up a meta and have fun winning while not understand what's going on and ruins it for the rest of us.

An error occurred while saving the comment thelastraisin#77104 commentedThey probably would just ban you, rather than fix their game, because it rewards bad players who give them money. This is an excellent point though. Very related, do you also go up against decks that are ridiculously sized in rank? Like >200 cards? I feel like this has to be people trying to get around the shuffler, and Wizards isn't putting a very obviously needed cap at 60 cards for rank because it keeps those bad players opening their wallets.

An error occurred while saving the comment thelastraisin#77104 commentedThis is from another comment I wrote: "I doubt they are ever going to fix the deck card limit to prevent oversized decks in ranked. This allows bad players, but players who spend money, to feel like they know what they are doing and win, even though they do not, and should not be in ranked in the first place. Get these people out of my games."
I'm writing it here because I really think this is a symptom of the bad shuffling algorithm and people have basically figured out how to cheat the system by making these stupid big decks.

After over 10 years, and in light of how your company treats people who disagree with you (i.e. the discord, see my comment below), I uninstalled Arena. I highly encourage anyone who looks at this post to do the same. They won't change anything unless we all stop playing.
