Graphics settings menu forces incorrect resolution
Since one the recent updates, if you enter the settings menu and hit Graphics, you'll get shown a box without your native resolution, and the game will automatically force the top-most (incorrect) resolution.
My native resolution is 1440x900 (16:10) and the top most resolution show is 1366x768 which is 16:9.
Restarting does not fix the problem. The only way to fix this is to edit regedit to change the resolution to the correct values.
If users don't have 'scale to fit' settings on their display and the game forces an incorrect resolution then their display might not even show the game since it will be out of range.

The solution with regedit is FALSE. MTGA will force the optimal resolution every time you start your game which means if you play on the laptop with 4K screen (as mine Alienware) it will always revert to the 4K resolution no matter how you alter the registry :(. It sucks a lot...

Bump because this is still an issue after nearly three months. I wonder how many users are running in a wonky resolution and bits of their screen are missing and they have no idea how to solve it. The play button sometimes almost disappears off the screen and I think I've seen users posting 'I have no Play button', I wonder if this is why.

"Yeah this is the bug I mentioned. Settings screen is automatically setting the incorrect resolution with no way to change it.
I meant to post how to fix this issue. It requires some basic editing using regedit, changing the lines for full screen width and height so Arena uses them instead. Close Arena before making changes. After making this change don't go to the Graphics settings page or you'll have to repeat this fix.
1. Press Win+R to show the Run box, or go to Start menu and type 'Run'.
2. Type 'regedit' without the quotes, press OK (confirming a prompt if necessary) and wait for it to load.
3. Navigate to this key and click the 'MTGA' folder icon:
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wizards Of The Coast\MTGA
4. In the right pane find the entries 'Screenmanager Resolution Width_....' and 'Screenmanager Resolution Height....'
5. Double click them to show the 'DWORD' editing box.
6. Make sure the 'Base' is set to Decimal (it will be set to hex by default), and type your desired full-screen width and height, respectively (eg 1920 for width, 1200 for height). Click OK.
7. Close Regedit.
8. Start Arena and you should have your chosen resolution.
(note that you can alternatively press F3 after loading regedit, and search for 'Screenmanager Resolution Height' to find it quicker, but just make sure you are in the location shown below when the search ends!)cb8629598d94526c8bbc51d264c8f6282f37c67e

1680x1050 display resolution missing since last patch? I assume it was there before but since the patch this morning its not and everything is a bit blurry because of it. The closest now is 1664x936 which I have never heard of

Changed in client resolution and now client in full screen is letterboxed permanently, even after reinstall. Game is already unplayable due to lag after 3 matches, this failure and the letterbox pretty much breaks the immersion and experience for me. I already stopped playing for several months in beta because of poor R&D and slow client, thought this was release ready.

This is incredibly frustrating when playing on my potato laptop. I need to use a lower resolution for my older, ****** computer and having to set it every single time I change scenes in the client takes forever and that's only when it works! Often my game just crashes when I try to set a lower resolution resulting in some frustrating losses in ranked draft.

Same problem here since yesterday (2019/09/30). The resolution changed automatically to the wrong ratio, without showing the native resolution in the list. After several restarts, it suddenly changed to the correct resolution and it was available again. Yet, without any interference it soon changed back when I entered the graphic options... . somocs workaround "fixed" the problem (remark: setting the "Screenmanager Resolution Use Native_..." to 1 is also a good option instead of typing the desired resolution by hand), but it should not have to be "fixed" in the first place. Hope you find the error, wizards. Thanks!

They've been missing since the previous patch earlier in September.
See this issue: https://feedback.wizards.com/forums/918667-mtg-arena-bugs/suggestions/38558494-graphics-settings-menu-forces-incorrect-resolution
You can fix your resolution by editing settings in regedit (as shown in the linked thread there)

I'm also having this problem. My resolution is also a 16:10 resolution, and my options are all 16:9. This wasn't a problem before updates in mid August, and is a ridiculous problem to have so late into the development cycle of the game.
