Same. Doesn’t effect game play, just takes a really long time to load every time I start the program. Happens on both my 2011 iMac and 2014 Mac Mini

Just a quick me too here; exiting the game normally will always result in about 1-2 minutes of "Validating ..." when running it again. I was hoping the issue would be fixed with the recent Jumpstart update, but alas.

yes, I am running a mac as well and am really excited for the first wave of patches for this game to go through, because I imagine some of these common fundamental issues will be addressed.
First, I experience this same asset error notification upon load screen, both after the game crashes on home page and when i close the game correctly.
Also, there is a screen sizing issue that i'm sure many of you have come across where one cannot adjust the window, even in the window tab. for some, the window appears too tiny, but for me the bottom part of the window is cut off. It is too large.
Finally, and most annoyingly, the crashing- especially after the startup took so long "recovering lost assets." Once I finally get to the home screen and press "play" it sometimes crashes immediately. I'd say its been 50/50 so far

Same problem. Have opened a ticket and support have replied to me like I am Windows user.
I pulled them up on they again ignored what I had said and sent me a Windows centric reply.
Really bad support. Have been waiting years to play on a Mac client.
Won't bother until it's fixed. So tired of companies coming out with half baked game clients. Such contempt for loyal fans.

I'm having the exact same issue/message. It takes forever. I'm definitely not buying anything on this game if this is how it works. Not until it is fixed and stays fixed for some time.

Same issue here. Mac2011. I was able to play yesterday when I first installed the game on my macbook pro but tonight it’s just impossible to play more than a single game.
The game crashes as soon as when I hit the “deck” or “play” button.
I really hope this is getting fixed soon. I also had a lot of issues playing the game when I was running it on Windows. It’s really annoying.

Same error everyone else is reporting. 2017 iMac. I do seem to get back in faster than others are reporting. Usually a minute or less to validate assets.
I crash most often when hitting "Play" and then "Play" again in rapid succession to get right into a game. Fortunately I come back in to the menu rather than a game in progress that I've missed a turn or something. Sometimes I'm able to play 4-5 games without a crash. Other times it seems to crash between each game.
Occasionally I lose labels on buttons in the Options menu and confirmation dialog.

Having same exact issue with asset error every single setup on my 2012 iMac. Some crashes but biggest drag is waiting 7-10 minutes for game to start
Wizards directed me to epic support who quickly bounced me back to wizards support.
Still waiting on a resolution. -

+1 here.
I see that message on every launch, but thankfully it doesn't appear to be affecting my ability to play the game. After the progress indicator quickly moves from 1% to 100% the game launches just fine and plays normally. It crashes pretty infrequently on my MacBook Pro (I may have just jinxed myself by typing that.)
Perhaps this is a case where the message that is being displayed doesn't match what is actually occuring, and there is a relatively innocuous issue triggering a status check at launch(?)

Same issue with me. Takes 5-10 minutes to load game every time. Game crashes a lot.

Mapache#74768 commented
Same, happens every launch, even when the game exited normally. Even if it disconnects due to inactivity and I click Reconnect without quitting, it goes through the fifteen-minute asset check. This is in a 2014 iMac 5K with Catalina.

I comment again to say that the game seems to be crashing more often, the more I play it. now it has more difficulty starting and usualy I have to open it several times, since it crashes before actualy opening. What a mess!

This is also happening with me. Running on a new Mac with Catalina. The game can take up to 5 minutes to load every time.

Since the last update I ghaven't been able to finish a SINGLE game.
I get "lost connection to server" all the time and/or the game freezes.
Why doesn't WOTC people communicate on this issue?
Is it only in Europe? -

Same, takes about 10 minutes to resolve the assets and then often immediately crashes. Can occasionally complete one game.

Can confirm that this happens on both my late 2014 27" iMac and my 2012 11" MacBook Air every time the game is launched. Both systems are running the last version of Catalina.
