had an asset error during gameplay on a premier draft leading me to a defeat the was running smoothly but during an attack step the game just crashed while I was resolving a spell mid combat that with a block would give control of the match, due to that crashing ano not beeing able to come back in time I've lost my match. The message just appearead as network problem then while logging loggind in there was this stuff about asset error.

Just adding to the count
I'm also experiencing an asset error validation after every single startup.
Problem beginning after the zendikar update -

This program is absolutely ridiculous. WotC needs to hire some programmers that at least finished high school. Impossible to play a quick game or 2 when it takes 20+ min to even log on. And allowing this to go on for days without a hotfix? Do you idiots hate money that much?

Same thing happening here. I had to move to the Epic Store launcher since MTGArena didn't download zendikar update, then MTGAInstaller.exe refused to open on my PC, and the .MSI file is older than needed.
So now I can install/play via epic launcher but have to go trough this assed error every time I open the game. I'm using Windows 10 for what's worth.
So, yeah, IT-wise WotC is really, really lacking.

Glad to see it isn't just me that this is happening to. I am closing it normally every time but I get this error every time I boot. On Windows 10, using English version, etc. I hope they are looking into it since it only just started happening post Zendikar. I will say when it is running I haven't run into any issues since the late evening of the update day, but it's super annoying that it takes like 5 mins extra to launch.

Happens every time since Zendikar. I can get in, but there is a 15 minute wait to "validate assests". No asset errors have occurred.

Yup same thing here. When arena cme out I felt it could push magic to greater heights, it has, but they're not going to keep it if every time a new set comes out the game gets more unstable. This is the worst experience I've had with any online tcg, ridiculous for a game of this size.

Same here. Ever since Zendikar update, asset validation required when I boot up the game. Hoping for a resolution soon.

Whenever I close and reopen the game, I get this message: An Asset Error occurred during your last play session. Validating asset files to ensure stability. It takes up to 15 minutes to complete this action.
I lost a draft game because I got disconnected. And of course I encountered this error, there is no way to get back into the game.
