The MTGA subreddit forums are corrupt.
They blatantly advertise any garbage or product in the store to generate FOMO (fear of missing out).
If anyone criticizes the algorithm or the poor RNG (random number) system, they're called crazy on those forums by people who make money and work for Wizards of the Coast, pretending to be "casual people just passing by to comment," saying things like "it's a coincidence," "it's random," etc. Naturally, they're not going to admit anything that hurts their profits.
The best thing to do is not buy anything from their store with real money. Maybe that way they'll start to balance things out a bit.
The only forums I find more impartial are the MTGA Steam forums. There you'll find opinions that are more accurate.

It's not just that the matchmaking is rigged based on the deck you use; it's also the draws, even the luck of opening packs (you always get pretty irrelevant rare or mythic cards), or the luck of your starting hand, which is rarely good and gives you a tapped land on the worst possible turn or leaves you with only two or three lands for the first six turns. It's also that the "bad streaks" come far too often. It's never 50/50 balanced as it should be; instead, they seem intent on increasing frustration among the player base at all costs so they spend more money.

This game isn't worth a stick of gum stuck to the floor.

These people should face a class-action lawsuit and be forced to return the money they've earned.
They should be sued.
It's a shame the laws protect these corrupt companies and that the players have hardly any rights.
I hope their greed is their downfall.

it seems like the algorithm was built for retention so they don't lose players with weaker decks which is inadvertently hurting the game as is. Instead of being fair they want to focus on revenue. I'm done with Arena.

Thanks WOTC for telling how awful MTG can be. Won't spent a penny on any products of WOTC trash *****.

A quel moment tu n'aurais pas compris que ce n'est pas la synergie du deck qui importe dans cette version en ligne de ce jeux de carte mais la façon don l'algorithme qui gére le choix de ton adversaire et le tirage de carte qui soit programmé.
Essaye de te sortir la tête de tes decks et observe attentivement le dérouler des parties et tu te rendra compte que toutes les lois de la probabilité et de l'aléatoire sont bafouées par l'algorithme, des scénarios de déroulement des parties ne se rencontre quasiment jamais en parties réelles (3 fois la même créatures sur les 4 premiers tours de jeux), l'enchantement ou le rituel qui arrive au bon moment pour contré ton jeux, un adversaire qui le parfait deck qui va contré le tiens ectect....

Toute la communauté qui joue ce jeux sait que WoC truque le jeux et favorise les pauvre crédule qui leurs donnant quelque dollars et vue la politique économique d'HASBRO, cela ne va pas aller en s'améliorant, la preuve en est avec la derniére extension FF qui favorise les decks aggro et les stratégie à 2 tours pour geek limités intellectuelement ainsi que la rotation de 2025 qui élimine la plupart des extensions avec des stratégie de construction intérressantes.

Donc fait toi à l'idée que ce jeux est truqué à tous les niveaux.

In ranked, decks should be capped at 60. It doesn't make sense in a ranked environment to not have this requirement because: 1) differently sized decks ruins the competition - i.e., if I'm in a car race, I'm not going to enter my tournament approved car if people can bring a jet plane; that seems like an egregious example, but 2) these large decks absolutely take advantage of the current shuffling algorithm. This is why I quit in a rage a few years ago and only now have come back. Spending money to make cool decks that I know are good, only to lose because I got 6 lands in a row and/or someone with a 175 card deck just somehow pulled every card they needed to complete their crazy combo because they've successfully stalled for 20 minutes was so crushing because it happened constantly. So, now I'm strictly free to play because even though I love this game, I can't give money to something that isn't fair and not rewarding skilled players. Still, the decks I nearly always lose to are 150+ cards. It's ranked, make it 60 and keep it balanced.

I hope these ******* developers and their families all get cancer. Only way this game would ever improve is if they all suffered a painful death

This game is so rigged. Constantly drawing all lands while opponent draws into perfect counters. This game can't even hide how rigged it is. I hope WotC goes bankrupt and all the employees lose their homes and families. Go live on the streets and get a real job you rats.

I don't understand why Arena doesn't take advantage of the digital format to get rid of those extremely unfair yet suspiciously common scenario.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I actually start to believe that either the game is rigged (but I don't see why the **** it would be), badly coded leading for those situation to happen way more often than it should or there are actually cheaters in this game messing with the draws. Anyway it's getting very hard to believe it is just bad luck.

YES. A poker shuffler. I'm tired of playing games against an algorithm that helps by giving me cards it thinks i need.

Not to mention searching for cards is complete doo-doo. Half the time they aren't there. Would be considered a waste of money if I couldn't find them half the time. This has nothing to do with having the 7 different options possibly selected that filters out cards.

Please get rid of the algorithmic deck setting. I'm tired of having a 30% chance of drawing a forest and 5 cards later still none, all because my opponent is playing like, well, doo-doo.

Wish this was better written, however, they don't listen anyway. How hard is it to interface a button to select such an important aspect of the game.

Oh, BTW the point is for them to make it as engaging for everyone as possible. Whatever stats their looking at about each algorithm that feeeds the matches based on cards and cards based on win% and type of wins/feedback is a complete manipulation of those playing the game.

Poor Kidos being manipulated for playtime in a game that is supposed to teach about odds and probabilities as well as critical thinking skills. Buyer Beware.
