Kill the Mill
I find mill decks to be an abomination of the game. The entire strategy around them is based on avoiding to actually battle other players and instead force their game to end because they run out of cards. It's a very anti-magic style of play which I want nothing to do with. As a result, the massive resurgence of this format has made the game unbearable for me to play. For over 20 years I've always appreciated the strategy component of magic that allowed me to go head to head against other players in a chess match like a battle and now I can't log in and play more than 2 games without running into these decks that are a complete circumvention of everything I loved about the game. My hope Wizards of the Coast never intended for the game to be played this way and the ability to put together such a dominant deck based on this format was a simple oversight that will be rectified in the very near future.

The Mill mechanic along with Land destruction should be banned. Both make the game unplayable. Any card that allows you to have multiple turns should also be banned. Cards that specifically say if you do this XYZ then you automatically win the game or cards that say “you can’t lose the game & your opponent can’t win the game” Endless combos and combos that allow the player to play their entire deck in a few turns should also be banned. Indestructible should also be banned. The creators don’t care about the fan base only about making $$$. Ban hideous laughter!!!!

Seriously, just get rid of mills deck. I have beaten mill decks and I understand the strategy behind playing. But it takes a special kind of pathetic to play a mill deck. MTG is a game about I make a strat, and you make a strat and we see which strat wins. When some plays a mill deck, the other person doesn't get to play their strat. It like a boxing match where one player is boxing and the other forgets how to box. It wouldn't be challenging or fun for anyone. Mills decks literally take away the challenge of facing an opponent. People need to put together a deck based on a strategy other than, "you don't get to use your cards". Actually learn how to play.

Totally changed my mind on this one. Finally looked up ideas on beating mill decks, watched it work, and even play some myself too. They do lose, and plenty. They just suck to play against when you first come across that style of play and think you're playing a game that only has one way to win.

I concede whenever I see milling- then stop playing.

Yep, milling is what makes people move away from a game. I was away from MTG for over a decade, came back last month or so. In the higher tier of Standard it is absurd, everytime I play against mill, which is often, it is a miserable experience even when I win. It often makes me stop playing the game for the day.
What is the point of collecting cards if the one most reliable strategies is for an opponent to get rid of your cards before you even have the chance to play them? To make things worse, the decks are not even that difficult to make! There is no skill in mill, at least the one in standard. I really hope they don't make more milling cards.

Sorry, but if you realy played Magic for 20 years you would know that milling has always been a part of MTG. So it's not anti-magic style at all. Look at the Mill Stone for example. The only thing that happened is that thanks to Powercreep they have gotten stronger and stronger until now they are borderlining ridiculous. But the same goes for other cards aswell. When I started you for xample gained an 8/8 green creature with trample for 2GGGG and had to pay an additional 4 green mana each upkeep or you take 8 damage. Today you get cards like th Rampaging Prontodon wich is basicly a 14+/14+ creature with trample for a one time payment of 5GG or stuff like the Elder Gargaroth.
So, since Powercreep is a (horrible) reality it's only fair that milling cards do the same. -

I was thinking about putting money into this until i experienced bugs first hand and mill.
then i read the comments on the bug reports and mill.
definitely not putting money into this now.
doesn't seem like wizards is paying any attention to any bugs, just taking what money they can while they can and turning a blind eye -

Mill play is essentially a more advanced version of solitaire. Just make it so they play bots, and not real players who actually want to think about strategy.

I am Running a Yorin Abzan Deck. I have 81 cards in my deck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My Opponent cast a single Crab T1 and he casted by T5 and T6 respectably Teferi-s Tutelage.
During all this time i only managed to get on the battlefield a single Birth of Melitis T2 followed by a Mire Triton T3 who got Heartless Acted. Everything else got countered.
Mill decks got to go!!
Standard has been unplayable for far to long. Whoever is in charge of this has been screwing up let and right since over 1 year ago, and this crap is going to stay like this for another.Seriously i have been a Gamer for over 15ys and this is the first time i am actually posting a complain.
It feels like the people in charge don't play the game. Standard needs a hard reset!!!!! Or a massive ban-wagon.I would rather play against mono red 10 times in a row than play a single game against Mill. At least is not so infuriating.
I will still be playing the game daily but i wont waist my money until standard is playable.

Makes playing no fun, I just concede now when I see it. Low cost creatures with flash and flying, that come with mid price power AND MILL. Awful.

Really annoying mechanic of the game. Overpowered and kills the joy of the play.

Its not a huge deal to me that mill exists, but the necessary tools to defeat it are not there, making it way too powerful. Something like gyas blessing is all thats needed. Fix please.
