Create a better solution for corrupted downloads
TL;DR: Provide a way to scan the downloaded assets to look for corrupt ones, and force re-download of those.
Details:
For months I've had problems downloading MTG Arena - it always would scan for errors after a play session (but never seem to find any), and be prone to crashing. As of the update 2 weeks ago I couldn't even get into the game.
When I would check the logs, sometimes it would complain about a corrupted file - if I could find that file in the download data I could delete it and force a re-download, and that would fix that file. It didn't always find the error.
Changing nothing else I hooked up a wired connection( as mentioned in troubleshooting) and it worked perfectly. No "validating your assets" at startup, nothing.
This doesn't seem like an acceptable fix to me.
1) I happened to have (due to covid work from home) a super long physical cable to connect to my computer, but wireless is how I download EVERYTHING ELSE - how is wireless a problem here?
2) When I did download a corrupt file, it wouldn't seem to cause an issue until it tried to use it. What's the point of the asset scan if it can't do checksums and find the issue?
If the asset scan showed me the problems I could have fixed them, as it is, it's a matter of guesswork when something goes wrong.
I can provide sample logs if necessary, but based on reading other issues reported by people(and the fact that you list 'go on a wired connection' as one of the fixes) - this is not unique to me.
