Please ban Alrund's Epiphany
I have been playing since beta and there is no combination I have hated more than Epiphany/Emergent. I will literally just quit a game if I know it is this deck. Cards that give you an extra turn have been a perpetual problem. PLease, please, please ban Alrund's Epiphany.

Alrund's Epiphany is ruining the game of Magic. I really love this game, but this card is ruining it SO MUCH... To be honest, I don't think Alrund's Epiphany is the problem, but the Galvanic Iteration combo is. I played a game where my opponent took 6 turns in a row. How is this meant to be fun? The game of magic is meant to be fun, it's meant to be about outwitting your opponent and playing clever tricks together... Now it's basically like watching a game of MMA, but halfway through the game, they tie up one fighter and the other guy just punches him till he dies... how is that meant to be fun for anyone?

Wizards, please ban this card; it's broken!

This is the most broken card I've ever seen. Sitting there with 22 life and 2 Doomskars foretold, and 4 opponent turns later I'm dead. No opportunity to do anything other than sit there and watch my life get pecked away by birds. I'd rather quit playing MTG:A than keep playing against this stupid card.

You might as well bring back Time Walk. At least with Time Walk I don't need to sit through 20 minutes of counter spells and removal....seriously though, why an extra turn AND 2 token birds??? Nothing quite like losing to a deck with no win condition other than chained together extra turns and 1/1 flyers.

Just had a guy take 4 turns in a row off two spells... WOTC... WTF... How is this permissible?

I am so sick of seeing Alrund's Epiphany in the majority of the games I play. The games are are boring, long and usually result in a loss for me. As the game is losing it's enjoyment, I doubt I will play till the next set comes out, if that doesn't change things I might not play again.

100% behind this post. It is basically a cheat code to win. These decks are not only completely pointless to battle, but they are also unsociable and unfair. What is the point of playing if just about every second player is playing these combos, which basically means they control the game and give themselves an extra turn to steal the win. Wizards of the Coast, if you don't do something and stop making so many broken cards, eventually people will get bored of winning, with no challenge or others will just not even bother. I'm at the point where between the horrible hand draws, terrible shuffler, ridiculous combos or broken cards that I don't want to even spend any money buying booster on the odd occasions.

Alrund's Epiphany has to leave standard after worlds as it creates this cancerous play pattern.

Almost every single deck I play uses this card. It was broken before innistrad, and now it's broken even more since you gave every blue/red player access to a way to copy it (it says take and extra turn "after this one" not take two if I copy it, that shouldn't even be legal). You gave them reliable ways to essentially tutor for it, and all this takes is 8 mana. You created a meta by allowing this card that is worse than f**king Omnath.

Cards should be banned based on fun level, and game 'fairness', not just what the pros are playing. Even in that context, this card should be banned.
In fact, more bans should happen based on the bulk of players not just top-8.

Restricting this to one per deck would be at least a start but yes banning this even better. If 8 of the top 16 decks in the last world tournament were using this it should wake up WOTC to take another look at this broken card.

Support your suggestion and maybe not insult the people reading your suggestion and you may have a tiny chance of having your suggestion seen. I see no problem with the card. It's crazy powerful and it's crazy expensive to match. Maybe not as expensive as it should be but that's probably why it's a Mythic Rare.

I have the same problem with this too! I just played a best of three standard and lost 2 straight to ALrund's. Both games got them down to 1, but then they chained some A;rund's. First game they ended using 1 Alrund's, then a galvanic iteration into Alrund's getting a total of 4 turns straight and on the 3rd they got another Alrund's. How are you supposed to beat someone who gets 5 straight turns?

Most unfair card in the entire game, anytime I see it played I immediately concede. Completely game breaking, and I like my control decks just as much as anyone. Used to play 2013 Magic on PS3, on one of the challenges you needed to use Time Warp and right then and there I knew it'd be banned. Can't believe WotC thought it was a good idea to basically bring it back

Please restrict this card to one per deck. People copying this with Dual strike and taking 8 turns in a row is completely ********.

I have been playing only Standard 2022 since it was launched on Arena in part because I absolutely hated Emergent Ultimatum into Alrund's Epiphany. Now I realize I just can't stand Alrund's Epiphany itself. This is coming from a person who tends towards playing control decks. Taking extra turns just breaks the normal cadence of a turn-based game and when your opponent chains them one after another, you might as well just concede. WotC wants to avoid feel bad moments - well that happens when one player watches another sit and take turn after turn. PLEASE WotC, you saw how extra turn spells like Nexus of Fate and Time Warp were abused and had to ban them. Already Goldspan Dragon into Alrund's Epiphany is normally game over. As more sets are added, AE is going to be even more abused. Nexus of Fate was banned, Time Warp was banned, and as soon as rotation happens, it will be the right time to ban Alrund's Epiphany.

Completely agree. Extra turns are ALWAYS broken and it is disappointing to see it return over and over and over

I just had somebody use Karn's temporal sundering (almost the exact same card) but they used it infinitely via Kaya The Inexorable's ultimate which allows you to play a card from exile for free. ALL Cards that allow for multiple turns in a row should be banned. They break the balance of the game.
