im trying to play on macbook pro but the game get stuck on the screen retrieving asset manifest. what can i do?

Same problem here. On Windows 11 I tried steam version and also custom launcher version.
Everyday I download 11gb of content and after close a couple of time it will ask to download again.Please fix

Same here on WIn 10 after the last major update a few days ago. Before that everything worked fine. Now sometimes it randomly works after rebooting, but most of the time it does not.
Already tried reinstalling the entire game. And also tried every "fix" suggested according to network settings (proxy, vpn, ...) and other stuff (restarting the game, rebooting the system, rebooting the router, ...) I found on the net.

retrieving asset manifest failure. using PC. "retry" 'd several times , game won't start. uninstalled & reinstalled APP- no good. all other internet connections working fine.

Same issue on my Windows PC and iPad. I can usually get it to work if I connect to my phone hotspot, get the game launched and stable, then switch back to my WiFi.
This is really frustrating, WoTC. Especially because, as far as I’m aware, there has been no comment on this from the company. Communication is essential! Why are we still having to tell you this in 2023?

For some reason this was never fixed. I found a ton of different reports on different platforms about this without any real solution from WotC.
The only workaround i know of is to switch your public IP (usually restarting your router will do it), or route your traffic through another device like a phone's hotspot.
I found this to happen more often if i switch between platforms (i play on PC and Mac).

The only thing I've been able to do is to create a hot spot with my phone and connect that way. But I need to do this every time I open the app regardless if it was already logged in or not.
