Product Suggestion Leave Historic Alone
With the new Alchemy format, can we please have it separated from Historic? You are going to be nerfing cards considering the standard environment, please leave them alone for Historic decks.

Historic should be timeless and should be left alone. Rebalances to Alchemy doesn't conform to the format's needs. If anything, it makes the format inaccessible and makes me want to stop investing time or money due to the lack of security that my cards will be usable in the future.

Leave Historic as an eternal format or refund the alchemy wildcards. You nerfed Lier to the point it's unusable even thought it was released less than 5 months ago. Players should never pay for a card designer's mistakes.

Alchemy in historic is terrible. It needs to be it's own format. I have spent a lot of time and money playing Arena and I am thinking of quitting it because of Alchemy. Alchemy takes away from the skill needed to play Magic; jamming in new cards that could not be played on the table top is a really frustrating. Great magic games are like a chess match...chess would be ruined if players could bring pieces and mechanics from outside the game into it. Dump Alchemy from Historic or I dump Arena.

"Historic" as the name would suggest, is a format that should be about playing with older cards celebrating the long history of magic as a game.
I don't mind having alchemy in addition, but don't shove nerfs, rebalances and digital only cards down peoples throat

I like how comments are being deleted. Not.
Can you please roll this alchemy crap back out of historic, so we can all get on with our lives?

just respond finally and say what you're going to do so we can get on with our lives

Please Wizards, give us back Historic as it was. Or another non rotating non changing format without the use of the digital “must play to be able to compete” cards.
For all of us who don’t enjoy the digital only cards, I can safely claim that the changes to Historic feel a lot like actual theft of our money and time. Or give us back a significant chunk of our money as the cards we buy are only playable for 2 years in standard instead of the promised “forever”. -

It's a new year, and I am STILL not playing MTGA.
Clearly, I care enough to repeatedly complain, but out of principle I am avoiding everything WotC until this is rolled back.
Actively recommending to people that they avoid Arena, as it is exploitative.

I've purchased a mastery pass and bundle of every set on MTGA since Eldraine. I won't be purchasing another until a non-rotating format without Alchemy is introduced. An abandonment of presented roadmaps has resulted in a total loss of faith in the management and direction of this game. I will not be spending another dollar until MTGA can prove they can fallow through on promised product roadmaps.

I like the idea of the alchemy format, I don’t like being forced to play with its cards. Let arena have an eternal paper equivalent format please.

Beta player. I’ll stop playing arena and tell everyone else I know to stop if you don’t keep alchemy separate from historic or some eternal format. We want to play magic not some hearthstone rng garbage.

I literally don' open arena since alchemy launch, after years of daily playing. Leave historic alone.

With the loss of Original Historic I've come so close to redownloading Hearthstone. Digital only cards are a fine concept I enjoy some of them, but I thought Historic was where my standard cards were supposed to live untouched/rebalanced...

WoTC. Don't be too greedy. I and many other players love historic - please don't change it. Or you compensate with wildcards for each rebalanced card or you make a non alchemy historic. Out preference is obviously for the last option

Having played around with the notion of Alchemy and how Historic is now altered as a playing format for a couple weeks now, I'm confident in saying that I really, really do not like it and will not be supporting the game financially anymore until either Alchemy is given its own format or Historic is reverted back to having their cards in pre-Alchemy form. I did not invest time and money into digital game pieces that can, and will apparently, be changed on a whim without any compensation.
This plus all the coming sets in '22 and '23 have nailed this coffin shut.

I will never play a card game where the cards can be modified on the fly.
I will never draft or play sealed if I don't have a non-rotating format to use the cards in afterwards
I'd say this product is no longer for me but it's not the same product it was before Alchemy was announced. It's a product I would have never bought into if I knew the way it was going because I knew the money was locked in unlike MTGO or paper.
This single change is so bad it makes me want to quit your game altogether, digital and paper, because it shows that you're happy to completely upend the player experience for nothing beyond some extra bucks. You can argue that's happened in the past but I'd say it was almost always done in good faith - trying to push the game and accidentally making broken cards/mechanics that had a huge impact. I always felt like you tried to fix your mistakes. This is not like that - this is intentional and predatory. There is no good faith effort to make the game better or push the boundaries in a way that makes the game more fun. The only way we are pushing the boundary is in seeing how much the players will take before they revolt. I have been playing this game since Ice Age and been through quite a few changes over the years - I've never felt this way after any of those changes.
I had no issue with new collector's editions and flooding the market with Commander products - more stuff allows people to enjoy the game in more ways and that's a great thing. Introducing new sets that retroactively change old cards and formats makes it so that less people can play the game unless they are completely onboard with everything you do. That will never be me, and I think you may be surprised to find out how few people there are like that.
If you're going to burn your enfranchised players for stuff like this it seems to signal confidence that there are so many new players out there, that you will be able to grow your way out of the attrition that changes like this will produce. Well, I've worked for a lot of growth-based companies and I can tell you this: Growth is great until it stops and nothing grows forever.
I will actively discourage new players from playing Magic in the future. I will recommend a different game. I used to be a borderline Magic evangelist. This sucks. You should really reconsider what you've done here.
