Legendary Copy Notification - Space to Pass
When you play a legendary but you already have a copy of that legendary in play, you receive the notification "Are you sure? You already have a copy of this legendary in play. Playing this one will require you to choose which copy to keep." Then it gives you two options: Yes/No. If you hit space bar it doesn't choose yes or no though - it immediately ends that turn phase and proceeds to the next one. I'm in the middle of casting a spell - why on earth would I want to end that phase of my turn?
You might say "okay, stop pressing space," or "don't play a legendary if you already have a copy out." But in my deck it actually comes up a lot, and you're incentivized to do so... and with triggers to order, you end up pressing space after casting spells all the time.
I play a deck that makes use of Bard Class and Birgi, God of Storytelling. The deck can win on the spot if Bard Class is level 3 with Birgi out. Anytime I play a legendary, both Bard Class and Birgi trigger. Bard Class exiles the top two cards of my deck, and Birgi gives me one red mana. I can chain through my entire deck, which is made up of legendary creatures, playing them practically for free while looking specifically for Goro-Goro Disciple of Ryusei to give everybody haste and win. Playing a redundant copy of a legendary gives me two more free looks and gives me mana back, so yeah I don't care that I'm gonna lose one I want to play it anyway. These turns go long, the rope comes up a lot, and I need to order those triggers, so I'm hitting space after casting spells. Sometimes I don't even realize I already have a copy of that creature out because frankly I don't care, I'm just trying to keep the chain going. So I hit space... and suddenly it's combat, and my chain is over, and I have no way to capitalize on the board I've assembled, and oftentimes it means a certain win turns to a certain loss.
It's really simple - on the "You already have a copy of this legendary in play" screen, make it so that space bar results in a "yes." Or make it so it results in a "no." I don't actually care which it does, but there's absolutely no reason it should pass to the next phase in that situation. I'm in the middle of casting a spell, of course I don't want to move to combat!
It's not a difficult fix. Please fix it.
