Audio Bug: Audio desyncs then no audio
Since July 2022 update, after playing a few short games or even one long game, audio becomes de-synced, and then audio cues stop playing, then all audio drops out. Restarting the program fixes it until it happens again after just a few matches. No other problems with game, my audio, or my PC.

I love the sound effects in the game!
I always use the in-game sound as opposed to other people that probably play music or watch a movie. Anyway, I hope it gets fixed soon.
Thank you.

Having this issue in nearly every game. Fix your PoS client.

Please WotC developers fix your code!
It happens as soon as there are two audio effects coming simultaneaously (maybe this helps)... -

same here. seems to be a memory leak in (most likely mutithreaded) sound ouput (maybe not correctly releasing a handle to multimedia interface)...

This is happening almost literally every game.
Even restarts don't really fix it anymore.
The client is pathetic. Hasbro shareholders should be ashamed at how bad Arena actually is.

Why does the audio start going in and out after playing for awhile? My PC doesn't do that for any other games.

after the bug hits and im sick of restarting, if i want to have the sound i have to quit and come back the next day. I've tried coming back a few hours later a couple of times with different increments of time. the only thing thats fixes it is a nights sleep (or 8 hrs). this is really frustrating. if you look at my account history you'll see I've spent quite a bit of money with you guys. you'll also see that i play for a month then i quit for a month a or so. this is almost entirely due to sound issues. please fix this.

Yup. Same problem here, definitely mostly happens on the purple Kamigawa map. Background music suddenly stops playing and all other sounds stop as well.

I have been experiencing this issue for some time now. It seems someone even located the cause:
Quote: I figured out what is causing it! It only ever happens on the purple, Japanese Kamigawa map. It is the MUSIC that is causing the crash on this specific map. Without fail, when the song gets to the end of its loop-- the audio disappears (apart from the occasional muffled sound effect)!
So, do the developers actually read these reports? How long is this going to take to fix??Model Name: MacBook Pro

In the meantime, here's the solution to prevent the bug: when you begin on this map, simply turn the music slider down to zero in the audio settings. Once the match is over, you can turn it back up. Super annoying to do, but at least it means you don't have to constantly restart the game.

VERY much happening every single time I open the client after about 5-10 minutes or so. Audio cuts out completely requiring a restart. Occasionally certain cards ETB'ing will cause its sound effect to come through exclusively.

After paying more attention to it, this most certainly has to do with the music. While in a match, there's a specific point in the background song that causes the audio bug, I believe at the very end of one of the loops. I hear the lead up to it and can now predict every time it's going to happen. I tried turning the music volume to zero within the settings, and voila-- no audio cut out, even after a couple hours of playing.

I get the same issue every time I run the game. The audio sometimes comes back after 5 or 10 minutes.
