Rusko, Historic brawl
Hello,
I’ll assume I’m not the first or only one to report this, but something needs to be done to address the issues surrounding Rusko, especially in historic brawl.
He is too strong to the point where he’s played by everyone, especially because he gets matched up against lower tier commanders. I’d suggest he needs to be banned, severely nerfed or put in a queue of its own where people just face other Rusko commanders when matching up.
Please fix this as soon as possible, having to face him in 60% of my match-ups when I’m playing « fun » lower tier commanders is ruining the gaming experience.
Thank you,

I would say if they adjusted it so he only spawns a clock when he's cast, that's a fair compromise. Maybe a cumulative cost increase for adding counters as well for every time he enters the battlefield. Seems like you specifically have to play blue and play a large amount of interaction to stop them. Super long, boring games of who has the most counterspells and removal in their deck and who can draw the most the fastest definitely doesn't add any value to the game. Blastzone in your deck vs a bunch of clocks is hilarious to watch them all disappear at once.

Makes no sense to ban Golos and not ban (or at the absolute LEAST rebalance) Rusko.

What do you expect? Wizards is run by incompetent people who probably don't even play the game and just press random buttons for designs. They absolutely destroyed historic brawl because of their greed.

If they're not banning Golos they're not banning Rusko. Historic Brawl is intended by Wizards to be a joke format where nobody has any fun. Nothing is balanced, nothing is banned except things like Lutri, and the supposed matchmaking algorithm that keeps everything fair never works because everyone is just playing overpowered commanders anyway.
Reject WOTC, go back to paper commander, or get some friends and play it on TT sim or something. MTGA hates you for playing anything but standard.

I think Rusko has been adjusted so that he mostly shows up in the "**** queue" i.e. the queue with 5 color goodstuff decks, Teferi, Hero of Dominaria, etc.

Agreed, Rusko is a another Golos in that he never really has to worry about the commander tax.
I don't think he needs to be banned, maybe just changed to say he only makes a Midnight Clock when cast? That way clones and flicker shenaningans wouldn't make him as out of hand?

This card is a joke. It shows up in 50% of low tier brawl games and completely destroys everything around. Your only hope it to counter it at least twice. Removing it does nothing since a single land will bring him right back out. Fire whoever made this card.
I either concede immediately, or rope out the person playing it. They deserve it.

Rusko promotes extremely annoying play patterns that suck the fun out of Historic Brawl. There also seems to be a high volume of players using him so it's become extremely common to match against even with a much lower powered deck.

Yes, everything said here is so true. It's so frustrating. Not only when you're trying to have fun playing lower tier commanders, but even if playing a higher tier, who wants to play against the same commander over and over again? Everyone is playing it, and because he's so broken in Historic brawl, people that just want easy free wins are spamming him. I'm willing to bet half their wins are to people conceding as soon as they see Rusko at this point. It's so un-fun, that I admit I'm one of those people that won't even bother with the game.

Rusko decks are repetitive and unfun to play against. Removing the Rusko nets them a second clock and the commander tax is half payed for by the old clock.

Rusko makes Golos look slow, that's how powerful he is.

Rusko is without a doubt more powerful than the matchmaking algorithm currently values him.

Rusko gets matched up with low powered generals. I know, because all I play is jank. I get matched up with him about 30% of the time. Either too many players are playing Rusko or the matching algorithm needs to be improved. Ultimately, I think Rusko should be with his own in the **** queue.
I believe the two previous comments are either devious or delusional, looking for easy wins against weaker opponents, or not aware of his effect on the game. There's a reason so many people are speaking up. And there's a reason this post was created.

This is untrue and OP has a skill issue. Literally play interaction, or just concede and move tf on
