Poison mechanic in All will be one
The poison mechanic as handled in the new set is plain idiotic.
Things made sense when poison was attached to creatures only; one had to work their way around the opponents' defenses and was rewarded with a faster kill timer which could not be healed back up.
But now we are firing off poison counters for two-mana-spells with solid other effects attached?
What's with this "Throwing around cheap cards until either player is dead before turn 6" mindset? Does MtG really need to so desperately ape other card games with ever shorter match duration?
And who in his right mind took a look at the Venerated Rotpriest and said 'Yep, this card looks balanced, let's print it like this"?
You do realize that nobody thought Goldspan Dragon was a fun card, right? And your conclusion was "Let's give it an even stronger effect and make it one mana"? Does anyone even playtest this stuff?

it may be not op, but it is infuriating , its one dimentional , low effort, low interaction, anti fun, not stimulating, just spam 2mana cicle cards and kill opónent on 10 mana spent, its everithing wrong whit burn but no redeming qualitys.
it makes the game a non game, it becomes "can you combo/agro before turn5 ? cant the combo play trough 8 2mana killspell/return cards? " of no them you lose. -

This destroys the playability of life and is a stupid idea.

Poison is a broken mechanic in the game and should be removed. It is overpowered

I used to feel like you. I even got a 14 day suspension from the Reddit Arena forum for griping too much about the new poison mechanic and how as implemented, broke the game.
Everyone there kept telling me the mechanic wasn't that OP, so I just made a crushing toxic deck with VRP that took me straight to Mythic tier.
I only play this deck know and watch people come in to reddit and complain left and right about VRP and Toxic in general.
I will only play Toxic now with turn 3 and 4 wins against opponents who have overwhelming might on their side of the board, only to be poisoned to death in 4 turns!!! I will keep playing this until Wizards admits their mistake and either bans poison, or introduces spells that remove poison counters (or a deproliferate meta).

I'm not one to generally voice my displeasure and disappointment, but my experience of MTGA since decks built around Venerated Rotpriest arrived, has substantially declined. This non-interactive, unintelligent, one-sided way to win games in 3-5 turns is disgusting and unsportsman-like in a game that is supposed to be played by interaction.
I'm at the point where I just want to finish banking in on the mastery pass I bought for All Will Be One launch and then stop playing at all. I might return when the Standard will have moved over this set, but for now, this is not a game I wish to invest it. I will move my money elsewhere in the meanwhile.
I suggest people at WotC to take time to reevaluate this card, and look at forums.
I know there is a work around Venerated Rotpriests in obligatory sacrifice decks and/or swiper-heavy decks, but I don't want to have to build a specific deck just to advance in ranks.
