Opponent cast steel seraph from graveyard with serra paragon
My opponent was able to cast the prototype half of steel seraph from the graveyard with serra paragon, despite the fact that the converted mana cost of steel seraph is 6, which is greater than 3. According to the gatherer.com website, this is illegal.

A prototype card is a colorless card in every zone except the stack or the battlefield, as well as while on the stack or the battlefield if not cast as a prototyped spell. Ignore its alternative characteristics in those cases. For example, while it’s in your graveyard, Blitz Automaton is a colorless creature card with mana value 7. It can’t be the target of Recommission, a spell that targets an artifact or creature card with mana value 3 or less in your graveyard. (this was in a standard metagame challenge at 4-1)

Serra Paragon creates an effect allowing you to cast a spell with mana value 3 or less from your graveyard. It is not targeting the Paragon with this ability. This is similar to how Lier, Disciple of the Drowned can cast Adventures from the graveyard.
