Explorer Anthologies
Explorer Anthologies should mostly contain Pioneer playable cards. An inspirational list is attached:

If the states goal is to get to Pioneer, then give us PIONEER cards, ones that are played and a bigger anthology that a dozen cards...do a full remaster set.

Explorer Anthology 3 was massively disappointing. Two of the included cards are actually very beneficial to the specific deck I'd like to play on Arena, but it makes little difference as to how much I'd like to engage with the client. I want to play my Pioneer deck against other people's Pioneer decks- if major pieces of the format like Ossification, Hidden Strings, Bring to Light, Treasure Cruise and Dig Through Time are missing, the meta is not going to reflect the Pioneer meta and I don't want to play. It's a shame because I would love to be able to meaningfully engage with Explorer, I'd like to get excited about events, I'd like to spend money on products like EA3, but the approach to this product seems extremely misguided and I think the community's response (and spending habits) will reflect that. I hope EA4 comes soon and includes the cards proposed above.

Your recent antology is just slap in the face of pioneer players. You promised explorer to become pioneer eventually, instead you print cards that no one is going to use and tell it's very hard to do the rest. Complete competitive card pool that we need is just ~100 cards, but you add irrelevent cards instead. Start doing what you promised!

The handling of Explorer as a second-rate priority is embarrassing. Cards being cut from existing, perfectly fine sets and Anthologies consistently failing to fill the gap is embarrassing.
But Explorer Anthology 3 comes off as openly malicious towards everyone who actually likes Pioneer and wanted to play the full format on Arena, and it's pretty disappointing if nobody on staff feels any remorse for that.
Do better.

This Anthology is more than frustrating as a pioneer player. I would like to have more of the critical cards from paper pioneer. Treating Explorer as a different format is awful.

very few cards of this explorer anthology are seeing play in pioneer, and there were absolutely more urgent cards you could have considered adding
I’m unhappy with the product and definetely not gonna buy it. -

We were told that getting the pioneer cards that matter onto arena is the priority, EA3 clearly goes against this statement. Please either tell us that pioneer is not something you want on arena or start adding relevant cards. Stringing your community along like this and getting our hopes up every 6 months is not the way to go about it.

Historic anthology is the best one ever. Explorer anthology is by far the worst. There are many great options for cards to add. Playable options in EA3 are slim. Best argument I can see for having such a poor anthology is to not shakeup historic too much. If that was your concern stagger the releases and give us good cards. 0 chance I buy EA3

You promised to be working on adding relevant Pioneer cards as a priority. You are not delivering that promise. Either admit you do not want Pioneer to be available on Arena, or start delivering the promise. Otherwise lot of players will leave. The ice is too thin now.

The historic anthology is great and I will be buying it but the explorer one is, well, I'm pretty sure you already know. Its kind of funny that that the historic one brought historic closer to modern than the explorer one brought explorer to pioneer. Little in the explorer one even inspires me to brew and I'm a brewer at heart, which is why I want to give real props for the historic one, best anthology ever released by a decent bit.

Hello,
Explorer has been the reason I buy paper magic cards (sealed and pioneer pre con decks), because explorer gives me and others a way to (somewhat) play our favorite eternal format. Of the goal of these Anthologies is to pull explorer in alignment with pioneer, this anthology failed. Now my friends are I are less inclined to play arena and actual paper magic because it appears that having pioneer on arena is not the vision for this company. I'm less inclined to bring friends into the game because of the disconnect between what they can practice on arena and what they might face at a local fnm. -

This is pretty on the nose. I want to get into pioneer but can’t afford/don’t have the time to actually do it in paper and the arena ladder is a great alternative, but I can’t really get into it without better anthologies.

Hi. I'm a whale. I spend over $100 on every set that comes out. I buy every anthology on day 1. I will not be buying EA3. The set as a whole does nothing to change the meta. The cards feel almost as if you took 2 meta-relevant cards, a few cards that used to be relevant, and then rolled dice for the rest of the set. I hate to tell you, but you need to bury those dice. You rolled a lot of Nat 1's.

The impact of this anthology over the explorer format is minimal and doesn't get us much closer to the pioneer meta.

Please add cards that see play in the real pioneer metagame. There is no reason to purchase an anthology that has no constructed playable cards.
Do better. -

This anthology is an absolute joke, people have been waiting for certain decks in pioneer to be arena viable for years now, lotus combo got 2 of its pieces and somehow it wasn't even completed even though the missing piece is a common. Two relevant mythics to creativity were added in this anthology but they're one ofs, no one is going to buy an anthology instead of spending 2 mythics wcs. Still no bring to light, still no delve cards. Even if you wanted to penny pinch this anthology is so bad no one is going to buy it because its simply not worth it, this anthology is an attempt at being greedy but it fails to do even that, incredible. Pure incompetence.

I'm incredibly disappointed by the contents of Explorer Anthology 3 and will not be spending my money on the product. We as a player base were given a promise that the anthologies would be used to bring meta relevant pioneer cards onto the arena client, and I feel that promise has been broken. After a whole year of releasing anthologies there are still several relevant pioneer decks that are in a completely unplayable state and that is unacceptable to me. Please, do better, I want to play your game and spend money on it, but cannot justify that when you make greedy and harmful decisions.

Extremely disappointed by this anthology. I have bought all previous ones and won't be this time around. I desperately want to be able to play pioneer on Arena, please!

This anthology is a slap in the face of players, pure and simple. The silly part is by diluting these anthologies you are actually just costing yourself money. Hardly anyone will buy this and instead just craft the one or two relevant cards, if that. Provide a proper anthology chock full of cards that see play and help bring tier 1-3 decks to arena and people will buy it, even at a premium.
