Using "use this mana only for X" mana on MTGA is very difficult
Hi,
I am reporting on a problem that has been there for a while, but now with LCI it became more prevalent than ever.
When using mana that can only be used for a specific thing, let's say Enigma Jewel for activated abilities or Sunken Citadel for activated abilities for lands, the client always uses the colorless mana regardless of player choice. (this is with auto tapper off and full control mode on)
Where it became a problem is that the extra colored mana from Sunken Citadel can't be used for, let's say activate Wizard Class and executing my combo (see attachment, the picture is after the match, and luckily I had a land drop open to play another Nykthos, otherwise I would've been screwed)
It was always an issue, that the client prioritizes using floating colorless mana and only ask the player for manual pay when it comes to colored mana, but this is one of the example, where this can be game breaking
Hope you guys can fix this and maybe let us see what "special" mana is floating, cause when there are so many different "can only be used to" mana going around, especially in standard, some clarity seems warranted
Thank you in advance and have a nice day!

The problem in this case is that the client auto spends colorless sources
In the game from the attachment, I had used Enigma Jewel+Omen Hawker to activate Wizard Class Lv2, which drew me the Biomancer and I had 1 colorless "only for activated abilities" floating.
I then played the Biomancer with Hall of the Storm Giant and wanted to activate Nykthos with Sunken Citadel.
When tapping, it automatically spend the one floating colorless instead of the 2 U from Sunken Citadel, leaving 1 blue "can only be used for activated abilities from Lands" mana floating, mana which can't be used to activate the Biomancer/Cycle Shark Typhoon/Level up Wizard class.
If I hadn't had an extra mana+land drop to play another Nykthos, it could've been a big issue.
That was just one example of this problem and I can foresee a lot of problems down the line
