Modular creature died, would not let me submit 0 for target of counters
Playing in the artifact draft, Arcbound Prototype died, would not let me submit 0 even though it's a "may" ability. Was forcing me to target opponent's creatures.

You have to choose a target, but then you may choose not to put the counters there.
