Parting gust and Kitnap glitch
My opponent cast Kitnap on my bloomburrow guard no gift taking control of my bloombirrow guard. Next turn I cast parting gust targeting bloomburrow guard gifting a tapped fish in order to have bloomburrow guard exiled and returned to owners control (myself) with a counter. Bloomburrow guard was exiled opponent relieved a fish, but at the next end step I never got bloomburrow guard back. It stayed in exile.

Read Parting Gust again. The creature is returned under its owner's control if the gift WASN'T promised. Promising the gift will result in the creature getting exiled for good.
