Freeze and crash of the general client user interface on PC following the September 12 update
Following the September 12 update, the download of the update seems to have gone well. However, the game interface freezes as soon as I try to go to the Packs or the Store pages, or when I try to click on the quest renewal. The game freezes and it's no longer possible to access the menus, even if it's just to close the game. The bug concerns a PC platform.

same to me, total disaster. Store and pack tabs insta crash my client. I can manage to play games on the very lowest and worst settings. My mac is pretty powerful, I other much more resource-intensive games like Civ without any issues. Please fix ASAP :)

I managed to get one game played, but then the second game crashed so many times that I didn't even care about the match loss. I already set graphics to low, also tried medium, tried full screen and not full screen, set the affinity for mtga.exe to cpu 0 -- nothing changes. I strongly suggest that whatever update you rolled out needs to be rolled back.

Same for me, on Windows PC. Worked fine until the update. I uninstalled and reinstalled, but it freezes every time.

Thanks redjack#52477. I switched from Graphics on Low to Medium in full screen and everything is now working. I did not get a micro update and everything froze on Low this morning.
For the developers, I'm running on a low power laptop from 2016. Arena has run well on it since the Beta with only slight slowdowns, all on the Low Graphics setting. Whatever 9/12/24 update change affected Low Graphics, please revert it.

I am experiencing the same problem as well. Uninstalled then reinstalled multiple times. Always freezes when clicking daily quests. Sucks because I have 3 different drafts to finish up. WOTC PLEASE ADDRESS THIS ISSUE!

*edit: After reading other posts in this thread I changed my graphics from "custom" to "Medium" and it freezes less. Not a complete fix but it does not immediately freeze after the first click any more.
I have this exact issue. I play most evenings and it had been working fine. Now I never get more than one click in before it freezes.
I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling Arena, doing a clean start with nothing running but arena, I am using current updated Windows 10, and I check and my graphic card drivers are still up to date as well.

pretty new to MTG Arena, but have basically been playing all through August A LOT, with no problems (I use Windos 10 on a laptop PC) -- BUT EVER SINCE THIS SEPTEMBER UPDATE I CANNOT DO ANYTHING WITHOUT THE GAME FREEZING -- cannot get to the Store, cannot open packs I already have, and even though I am able to get into games (sometimes), I can never get through more than 5 minutes before it freezes and I have to Close Program. Sometimes I can get back into the same match when I reset the game, but I have had to reset the software like 10 times just to get through one single match... and I lost my weekly win quest which I had almost completed before this godforsken update completely killed this game... The update was 9/12 and today is 9/15 and this has been constant for me, ever since. I even un-installed and re-installed the entire game (which meant RE-DOWNLOADING THE 9 GB UPDATE -AGAIN-) and this still did nothing. I just wanted to enjoy Bloomburrow a little more before they shove another generic set down our throats

For me, nothing works after September 12 update. The client crashes all the time.
Nothing works, any kind of format, not even sparky.
I cannot even change the rewards in the main screen!! -

Going into “Graphics” and setting to “medium” worked! Yay!
Fixed the Not Responding issues.
Mine was set on “custom”. -

Many other players have since posted similar bug reports. One of them said it was related to the “Low” setting for graphics. Indeed, I play in “Low Graphics”. I've switched to windowed mode with “Medium Graphics” and it's working again. I've gone back to “Low Graphics” and Quests, Packs and the Store freeze again.

Same here, uninstalled, reinstalled, updated all the drivers, nothing helps. PC, Win10, Game freezes when trying to change daily quest, when starting the match, more or less, trying to perform any action freezes the client, can only shut it down from task manager. Until it is fully loaded everything seems fine, but in reality nothing works.

I'm Japanese, but the same thing is happening to me. I'm using Windows, and I'm not using Steam. After updating about 2 days ago, MTGarena started freezing after a few minutes, whether it was on the home screen, during a match, going to the store, or editing a deck. I'm especially afraid of the freezing phenomenon during a match, so I've been unable to resume the Quick Draft event I was participating in before the update. I hope the MTGarena management team will deal with this issue as soon as possible. (There are only about 4 days left until the end of the current Quick Draft event period...!)
